Utah, like a lot of the west, is experiencing drought.
84% of the state's water goes to agriculture. We live in a fucking desert. Half of that 84% goes to one crop: Alfalfa hay. Most which is sent to China.
Probably not noteworthy: Governor Cox was an Alfalfa farmer before he was Lt. governor and then governor.
He's also frequently touted as one of the "good" conservatives or whatever. No such thing but you know.

Did he catch covid from the workplace? If this company doesn't have property protocols in place to protect their employees maybe it's not a good idea to work for them...
No. He was working from home. Which I'll be doing too if I'm hired. And I'm currently working from home.

I actually had a similar thing happen to me recently. Only the hiring manager said that my email got lost in her inbox, which sounds like bs because I followed up a few times. Is it considered like in very bad taste if you change jobs within like a month of being hired? I didn’t answer because of this reason. For a $30k bump...
yesno. Haha- 1

Obviously I'm not in the position, so my opinion would almost certainly change if big money was involved...but if a company ghosted me, I'd say fuck no.
Yeah I was unimpressed with the way they handled it last time. But it sounds like there will be more benefits for me than just more money if they end up offering me a position. Right now I work on a team with 4 other people that do what I do and I report up to a guy who has a ton of experience doing what I do. But at this company I would be the only person. So pretty much calling the shots and building things out the way I think is best.

I started a new job for a lot more money two months or so ago. At the same time I was interviewing with this current company I was interviewing with another company. They ghosted me and went with somebody else. They reached out to me again yesterday and asked if I was still interested. I told them it will take more than they were offering last time and they still asked me to interview again. Okay. Had the first interview today. I found out that they're interested in me again because the guy they hired instead of me died.
From Covid.

A local ISP finally came to my neighborhood and I was able to ditch Comcast and its joke upload speeds and data caps for a gigabit fiber connection with no data cap. I frequently exceeded Comcast's data cap.
So, even though it's only 500 MB tops I would still be upset with that counting against my data cap.

I know the part that jumps out is just the comedy of offering a phone as a bonus(why not just pay these millennials in avocados, amirite?), but the small print betrays a warning that everyone should take heed of.
I am going to be looking for something here in the next month, and if the place I pick offers one of these "bonuses" I would expect less than a 50/50 chance that I ever actually see that money.
Obviously they are just offering these "bonuses" in an attempt to lock employees in at a lower hourly rate in hopes that the job market will return to "normal" soon. Expect many of these stores to have an unofficial policy that anyone approaching their six months to be targeted for a miserable working environment around the 5 month mark to encourage them to quit at the best, and perhaps subject to downright fabricated write-ups to justify firing with cause(don't have to pay the bonus or UI, score!).I have found a good rule of thumb with these places is that anything they offer that is not on your next paycheck is a crapshoot at best.

In the religion of my youth sexual sin was viewed as "second only to [murder]". I think it's a stretch to say the Bible doesn't specifically say "masturbation" therefore it's not a sin. Its message is pretty clear as it relates to lust and adultery.
That being said I don't believe in that stuff as divine anymore. Don't worry about it. The psychology and biology are pretty clear that masturbation is normal and even healthy.

Like I said months ago, ain’t no medical reason to wear masks indoors after vaccination. That is a separate issue from the public health reasons to, but those are waning over time
That has nothing to do with vaccination and everything to do with God’s judgement against the evil empire
Though I hate to say this in agreement with an Astros fan, you took the words right out of my mouth.

I am going to start referring to these Trump wannabes as Underpants Gnomes.
Step 1: Be like Trump
Step 2:
Step 3: Become president
They think they can win by being like Trump, but they're just boosting Trump and making it more likely he'll run and an absolute certainty he'll win the nomination.
No one wants RC Cola if Coke is sitting next to it in the fridge, guys.
How fucking dare you compare Trump to that godly nectar.

Turns out they haven't been testing nukes but their fertilizer factories just keep exploding. That's why they have to keep building them.
