That's unfortunate. I know here in Massachusetts I can pick and choose which vaccine I want because they're all being offered, but this is also Massachusetts versus Utah. We're already at like 75% with at least one shot. Unfortunately, I can't yet request an mRNA booster because there has been no guidance on what a J&J booster looks like.

I'd be curious what happens if you go to a handful of places and request the J&J. CDC website said J&J was available at a lot of places here but whenever we called they'd say they didn't have them anymore.

Anyone freaked out over mRNA vaccines because of Facebook disinformation can just go get a J&J vaccine and avoid all of it. It's "super weird" how so much of the anti-vax nonsense out there just pretends the J&J vaccine doesn't exist.

J&J is hard to find. My FIL came to visit from Bolivia and I wanted to get him a single shot vaccine but we couldn't find the J&J anywhere in Utah.

Well if I could describe this album I would call it "slow and steady" and for better or worse it generally sounds like a variation on a riff of songs they've done before. Of course they've always done this but I don't think it's been done to this extent. That being said they are good riffs and the songs for the most part are enjoyable. Nothing terrible, good songs but nothing that blows your balls off like The Book of Souls. Of course my opinion could improve over subsequent listens (as it usually does).

If you're one of those freaks who get the physical edition the art is pretty outstanding. To imagine we came from Dance of Death to this, bravo! Not only is the booklet some nice glossy shit the album itself is not cheap paper, it's glossy too.

Overall if you're a fan of Iron Maiden I think you'll be content with this album.

I ordered a physical edition but it still hasn't arrived :/

I'm worried that it's going to be Shannara with a bigger budget. Poor acting and casting decisions could wreck the show even if it has a high budget and decent writing.

Overall I'm neutral on the trailer. It doesn't make me feel any better or any worse about the show, but I was hoping for something more.

That's the one whose name I forgot and couldn't be bothered to Google. Thanks. Agreed with all of this.

I don't recall immediately (or at all) noticing the mixing with The Book of Souls. I just fired up The Red and the Black and I guess the main vocals are a bit muted compared to older Maiden but the rest of the mix doesn't seem really muddy like with the songs this new album. Bruce's vocals also aren't AS lost in the background on The Red and the Black.

Book of Souls is a bit different I'll give you that. But the mixing sounds a lot like Brave New World or A Matter of Life and Death to me. The sound is a bit dry. I think it works for them.

I agree it's generic, but it doesn't look bad. I can live with bland if it's otherwise well done.

    Yes.

There were some really cool elements in the trailer I think are worth mentioning: the Fade looks scary as hell. Shadar Logoth and Tar Valon look really well done. Definitely excited for the show.

All the other visual elements were screaming that forgettable MTV fantasy show, though.

But did they buy the t-shirt because the baby was on it or because they liked the album? I figure it's probably the latter.

It kind of goes with what @GeneticBlueprint said. Nirvana basically was considered an indie band before Nevermind came out, and paying $200 to get parents permission to take a picture of the baby was probably pretty generous for the band at the time. It's only after the popularity of the album exploded that one could claim they are making money off his image (but again most people are buying the album for the music not the baby) but if you didn't see the album becoming popular you probably should blame your parents for not cutting a lucrative deal in which case the band would probably say forget it and come up with another idea for an album cover.

Or find another baby who wouldn't grow up to be so fucking weird about this situation at a minimum.

His reasoning is stupid but I can't really blame him for wanting a piece of the pie. DGC made a lot of money off of his image with T-shirts and other merchandise. Ideally he SHOULD be getting sort of royalties for it, but I understand that legally DGC doesn't owe him anything. Sounds like a shitty deal that he was made before he had any autonomy over his own image and body.

This. But also: Nobody knew that album was going to blow up and make a few people extremely rich. At the time they could barely afford the $200 they paid him. His parents should have worked something into a contract.
