Also, to her remarks about people joining the party: Many in Utah changed their voter registration to Republican so that they could vote for the "sane" "moderate" Governor Cox in the primary. Because there were some real fucking loons on the primary ballot. Just bonkers. And I will probably end up doing the same. In Utah, you don't need to be a registered Democrat to participate in the Democratic primary, but you do have to be a registered Republican to participate in theirs.

When my first son was born my MIL came to help out for a couple of months. She always acts like she's suffering with any kind of cold. Well, one day in June it was like a million fucking degrees outside. I came home from work and it was warm in the apartment we were living in at the time. So I go to check the AC. MIL had turned it off. I turned it back on and set it to the mid 70s. The current temperature read 90 degrees inside. Not two minutes after I turn it on she's putting on a sweatshirt and rubbing her hands together and blowing into them and making a big thing out of it. I mean it had "cooled down" to 88 degrees and she was doing this. So I went and turned the AC down to 65. I told my wife to tell her mom to cut that shit out. It never gets as hot where they're from as it was inside (and outside) our place that day. It infuriated me.

Truthfully, I only shopped once at Publix while I was in Florida about a month ago. It doesn't exist where I live. I was flabbergasted at the prices compared to other stores in the area. And they didn't seem to sell anything that was "store brand" like Kroger and the like.

If you're a for-profit company that makes more than 6 figures in profit there is a 99.9% chance you're donating to the GOP and a 99.8% chance you're donating to the DNC.

I have the Amazon CC as well. Best Buy has worked out for higher returns for me for whatever reason.

The Best Buy credit card has also been hugely beneficial as it's so easy to rack up gift certificates.

Any big electronics purchase I try to do through Best Buy for that reason. I don't have the CC but I'm a 'member' or whatever. Seems like I get a new gift certificate for past purchases every few months. Feels like free money.

Oh. my. god that sounds awesome. I'm definitely going to go back some time. I want to spend an entire day just in Galaxy's Edge. We only spent part of one day there.

This is the rub. It was the same thing that kept people like me from investing in stocks before the big trading houses started doing no-commission trades. I have some money in a few cryptocurrencies but when you want to put ten or even a hundred dollars in, that fee is a real drag. I just save to put bigger sums in to make it more worth it.

Haha my wife kept mine too. There wasn't a whole lot of character stuff going on there due to the pandemic. I was just there only 3 weeks ago because flights and hotel were cheap and I'm Covid-immune currently.

I was super impressed with the whole experience. I mean the life-sized models of the ships they have are awesome. The props and scenery they build make everything look Star Wars-y as far as the eye can see. And they play the sounds of ships flying overhead once in a while on these synchronized speakers. Even my fucking Coke bottle looked like it was made on Coruscant or something. 

Also, the Rise of the Resistance ride is fucking awesome. Like, the line experience itself is so good that I thought the ride had started. Every ride tries to do that but no ride has done it as well as that one.

Side note: I went to Galaxy's Edge at Disney World. I had some blue "milk". It was pretty good. It was rice milk and coconut mixed with other fruity flavors. I also spent $200 to build a badass lightsaber.
