yea the etched looks good. If you watch the verge video, the etched looks horrendous. I am sure Valve wouldn’t ship the screen if they didn’t think the two are comparable. These videos are getting me so hyped

It looked quite nice in the Linus Tech Tips video.

There is no effective difference. All the studies we are seeing are from different area of the world with different demographics in different stages of the pandemic. This is why data from Canada and the UK (for Pfizer) put the efficacy at 80-90%, but Israel's showed 65%. This is something that is impossible to study in a perfectly measured and balanced way. The important thing is the trend for both, and that is that both Pfizer and Moderna provide very good protection against infection, and both provide amazing protection against severe illness.

One thing to note is our data on Moderna is vastly limited compared to Pfizer.  We've just been assuming all the way that whatever Pfizer's findings reveal will hold true for Moderna as well.  Canada, a month or two back did find Moderna to be slightly more robust in regards to protecting and these findings do align with that.  It's early, but it's encouraging to see some more hard data on a vaccine that hasn't had as widespread of adoption as Pfizer.

IGN has spoken to past and present Activision Blizzard employees, building a clearer picture not just of its deeply troubled working culture, but the immediate aftermath of that culture becoming public – and how those at the company have organised to try and...

That's equal parts infuriating as it is creepy.  Fuck Activision and Blizzard.

You know, I got my second shot at the end of February so I'm at right about the five month mark they're using in Israel for giving people a third shot, so it's definitely been on my mind if I should just show up somewhere and say I'm getting my first shot in order to get a third shot while we're still in a period of supply far outstripping demand...

Seems likely we're going to wind up getting a recommendation for boosters anyhow, even just using a third dose of the existing vaccines instead of a new version targeted toward the variants.

The big issue with getting a third shot right now is you'll affect the vaccination numbers.  You can say you're one person, but tons people are talking about going into the pharmacy, and lying to get it.  I'd just hold off and wait until we get an official statement.  It's not as if you're in the danger zone, virtually nobody whose vaccinated is in the hospital at this point.

I also think it's worth hearing from Moderna on the matter too, though, I do wonder if long term, the Moderna vaccine will remain a bit higher just due to the simple fact you got a lot more vaccine per shot than you did with Pfizer.

I thought they stopped in March?

I bought this when it came out because I figured I'd get a Switch eventually and didn't want to miss out on playing stuff like Sunshine for the first time.

It's out of print, but still readily available.  Nintendo has pulled the same tactics in the past and people are sitting on sealed copies of Nintendo collections that aren't worth much over their original MSRP.

Those prices. Valve says they want other manufacturers to join the handheld market and use SteamOS but manufacturers are gonna struggle to match Valve’s pricing.

I get why Valve said it, but they damn well know that nobody will be able to compete with their pricing model.  They can take the console strategy and eat the costs given they own the storefront.  The only others who could do that are Microsoft and Epic.  Companies like Dell have to turn a profit up front as they have no other way to recoup the costs.  I'm sure they're looking at the interest to consider the release of the Alienware UFO, but it'll very much be a boutique item with some flashier features to try to entice those with deeper pockets.
