The study here doesn't make a judgment either way.

I don't know if someone has already studied it, but my guess would be that some meat alternatives are healthier than the real meat would be and some are very likely not.  There are huge differences between how all these meat alternatives are made and what they're made of.

Of course, what this study says is basically that "healthier" is a difficult thing to quantify and in the aggregate we really don't know right now.

The biggest issue is really the salt content.  Some are better in this regard to others.  I buy vegan sausages sometimes that aren't too insane in the amount of salt added to it.  You just really have to do your homework and find a grocery store in general that has a good selection.

The final recipient for Mid-Summer is @vaxick - what would you like?

Oh wow, I was not expecting this!  I'll take a physical copy of Ratchet & Clank for the PS5.  Thank you for the early birthday present. 😛  I was just at the grocery store yesterday trying to hunt down a copy since I had a $10 off coupon for being vaccinated, but they had everything but that game.

  3. Watching Gerstmann play it made me want to stay far away from it until it receives some substantial patches.  It looks awful in its current form as a single player title.  I had a lot of fun with Werewolf: The Apocalypse  Earthblood despite it being a fairly shallow game, and I was hoping for the same from this one, but unlike Warewolf which was a technically sound game, D&D looks broken in a staggering number of ways.

Isn't the web edition of TikTok very limited?

No matter, I can think of a couple. I'd love to be able to access my home security cameras from my laptop. There's an app on my phone and no good way to view the camera feed over a browser. If it can handle Android notifications, I'd like getting notified on my laptop or desktop that someone wrang the doorbell accompanied with video. My phone does, but it's always nice to get alerts on the screen you're already looking at.

There's also some silly stuff like Webtoons. I often buy comics from them, but they don't allow you to view bought chapters within a browser, only through their mobile app.

Yes, it's more so for viewing videos than making, but most of the people who are serious about that app use video editing software and then upload after that.  For the casual user, it would be a bit odd to make a video on your desktop when more than likely, your phone's camera along with microphone are better in every conceivable way.

I didn't think about smart home uses, technically, I suppose I could use the Ikea app on my desktop that way to control my lights, but I'm just so used to doing it via Google Home or my remotes, that I never thought about that.  It could come in handy if I put some smart bulbs in my computer area instead of having to pair another remote to bulbs over there.

After watching that gameplay my interest in this dropped off. After reading that playing single player is tedious my interest dropped even further.

I guess I'll wait until I have a group of friends looking for something to play.

I just watched some reviews and you're right, after hearing about the single player from multiple reviews, yikes, it was clearly an afterthought.  That's too bad, none of my friends who would play this will touch it until they can find a PS5.
