Hey everyone! About two years ago I started a podcast with a great group of guys. We're basically a video game book club. We pick a game to play every month as a community and then we record an episode discussing it. We also do episodes ranging on a variety of other topics in the industry. This year, we have recorded enough episodes to register as media for E3 and it has always been a dream of mine to go as part of the industry! We have hit the subscriber, downloads, and listener marks needed for media passes but we are short 15 ratings on iTunes to qualify! We have 35 and we need to hit 50! If we can reach that mark, they will rerun our application and we should be able to get our badges. I hate to do this, but we are desperate at this point as the quota for media badges are close to being filled. If anyone could take a small amount of time to click on the link below and leave us a review/rating in the iTunes store, we would be forever grateful. I don't even think you need to leave a review, just click the amount of stars under ratings and reviews and that's it! You can do it on your phones as well, just scroll all the way to the bottom and you'll see an option to rate/review. If on a computer, just choose to open in iTunes and you should see the same option. Here is the link! I know how awful it is when people beg for likes/follows/subscriptions in this day and age but we are in a really tough spot and I have to explore every option. This community has always been amazing and helpful so I knew I could come here judgement free. If we end up making it out there as media, I will do a giveaway with some E3 swag we pick up. Haha, yea! The fight was actually because you had to choose one to leave behind as wel and we couldn’t decide. I usually tank in games and prefer defensive builds or support roles because I find them more interesting than just spamming attack. I refused to leave the shield behind and he refused to leave either the staff or sword. We ended up leaving the sword. Closer than you think.

My favorite memory was playing the original with my friend and we argued for over an hour if we should choose the sword, shield, or staff at the beginning. Literally screaming at each other because we were both positive it would have huge ramifications in game. It did not.

I’m actually here at the event and I think it’s been incredible so far. The only game I’m competing in is Street Fighter but every pool I’ve seen or played in has been really well done. Atmosphere is electric. Weeding down to the top 8 is gonna be crazy today.

First official home console release of the Street Fighter series!

Long story short, I’ve been building up store credit at a local shop that I love for a while now and I got a great deal on some games that I’ve really been wanting. DWIV is the last Dragon Warrior game I needed for my NES collection and MM7 is the last home console MM game I needed! It’s a shame the label is so rough but it’s kind of endearing. Someone loved the shit out of this copy. Also Battletoads in Battlemaniacs is one of my favorite games ever so it’s been a long time coming as well!

Not rare or perfect, just something awesome that I’ve neglected to pick up until now. Found a guy selling the manual for $4 on eBay so it’ll be CiB by the time it goes on the shelf. Cost me $15. Pretty fair I think.

So what I picked up was the original Street Fighter. This eBay listing has the exact same set for sale. Does this box size look familiar to anyone? Street Fighter Commodore 64

Thanks! I met him at a Dunkin Donuts. I bought him a dozen just to balance the karma scales a little. I told him he could get more for everything online but he didn’t want to mess with it.

My first real score. $30 from Craigslist. CiB Action Set with extra games. Beautiful condition.

Ok cool, I think that will be too large for my box but I’ll see what I can do. The game I picked up is in an actual box. That looks like a VHS clamshell. I don’t think they are the same. I’ll have to wait until I see it with my own eyes. Thanks!

I recently picked one up CiB and I’d like to get a box protector for it but I can’t find anywhere that sells them. Does anyone have some Commodore 64 boxes they can compare to other boxes for me? If I can’t find one that’s an exact fit, maybe I can find something close enough that will work. Thanks!

This is a long shot but if anyone went to E3 and has an extra Kojima Productions hat they were selling in the Sony tent, I would love to have one. There’s only one guy on eBay with them right now and they’re way overpriced!
