Warrior is fucking great! Uppercutting Ogre’s in the face with a massive sword is extremely satisfying.

Yup, I switched to warrior and combat got much better! While slow, the get knocked down far less often and that makes a huge difference when the screen gets crowded with a blend of ground based and airborne enemies. I'm using the thunder hammer, but might try out a sword tonight.

I'm nowhere near house buying status. I'm trying to find a boy taken by wolves or something.

    Spoiler

I met that lad, lovely fellow! When I returned him to town, the game bugged out and he would not go to his uncle and instead insisted on standing in a bath of water a street away from him home. So I carried him to his uncle and tossed him at his uncle. Touchdown! Apparently his uncle approved of this act of child abuse because this triggered the end of the quest and the reception of my reward! All in a day's work for this hero!  :sun:

  3. Some context on this article. These quotes were taking from a recent DDC. The point was to discuss the challenges game designers face. To read the title of this somewhat click bait article, you might think a current Bethesda employee was basically saying, LOL we threw this bad boy together, because you know it only takes 5 minutes when you only have 5 minutes! That is not the case, but what was said mirrors points other developers have shared across the industry, pointing to some questionable project management, bad timelines, possible cultural upheaval, and just general business fuckery.

I also just think that frankly, space as the stage for this game, broke with this team's ability to do what they have historically excelled at, namely creating a fun sandbox RPG that just so happens to have a story...kinda. Starfield has a solid game in the bowels of its terrible interplanetary travel system and shyte UI. The scope of it served to dilute the impact of the story rather than enhance it. People are truly afraid for the next Elder Scrolls, but I'm not that worried, aside from the very real possibility that we will likely not see it until 2028. All anyone wants is more, and prettier Skyrim, with a very mod friendly box of code. Bethesda is certainly capable of delivering that!
