Yes please. Also make it illegal to have more than 4 hours of different meetings with the same people.
Man you would hate design reviews!

I love it but I can’t even begin to conceive of how that would pan out in my line of work.

Honestly I'd rather they just pass a digital info protection law that prevents companies from collecting and using info to push content algorithms onto people.
That would be far to clean of a solution and would shine a light on all manner of bad actors in both the private sector and government.

England: We peaked a long time ago and are fairly gutted about the whole affair. We've a new approach though and are thoroughly chuffed to set conditions such that time itself reverses and the queen reanimates!

IF you like this premise, please consider watching Travel Man! Its an amazing series with Riochard Ayoade as host and with a different guest traveler each week. Here he is with Paul Rudd:

Biden just needs to run clips of Trump at his rallies and the rest will take care of itself.
These ads should read like Joe speaks, a whole series of short clips that allows starts with: "Look at what these dummies think is good for Americans" and ends with "My god, what are they thinking?!"

Honestly surprised Trump is aware of literally anything Hitler did. Of course, his enablers are absolutely aware of everything Hitler did and are following that model. But just surprising Trump himself knows any factoid at all.
Even the stupid orange will occasionally "let one through the five hole". I'm sure 99% of what people say to him is lost in his own narcissistic haze, but a few things make it through here and there, like the light from a solar eclipse as an example!

The Autobahn was actually a Weimar idea.
It sure was, but Ol' H bomb is the one who supported the funds to get it done. Shitty but true.

I mean, the Autobahn was pretty cool for its time but uh, some of his other policy decisions were pretty iffy.

I can understand this take, but I generally think it's good for different games to take risks that won't appeal to everyone and lean into them.
100%! I'm careful to point out my concerns as a taste thing rather than an issue with the game itself for this reason. Plenty of folks love this stuff, but it irritates me personally. I also find the GTA series to be a complete yawn, but a *few* folks disagree...

I agree with this but it's not a popular opinion here. I actually am preferring FF16's flow so much more because there is no nonsense in between the great stuff.
I still love Rebirth but the mini games drive me nuts. Foe instance chapter 8 is littered with them in between a awesome story moment.
Agreed, but FF XVI is still just and "OK" FF game and squanders a strong start with tons of insanely boring side quests.

I know FFVII OG had a lot of mini games, but, for my tastes, Rebirth has just too many. I also realize that many are optional, but they are still dragging down the story and combat for me after logging 30 hours.

If they center the movie around the fatalistic blue star "Lumalee", they can't miss! It was hands down the best part of the first movie!

Maine
in The Shower
Posted
Here is a short story made long:
I took last week off, because in two weeks I'm starting a whole new project at the university and wanted to clear my head before starting another big lift. I spent half of that vacation week doing my bosses homework and answering numerous phone calls and emails. This was a breaking point for me, where I realized that my current job, interesting as it can be at times, is doing modest good and maximum harm for my family and my physical and mental health. So I've started to contemplate an exit strategy from both Cornell and the state of NY. Target move window: Summer of 2026.
So with that sack of context dropped on the table, who here lives in Maine? I ask, because I prefer the cold to the warmth, and with how the world is heating up and with a goal of making this move my final move before the great nap, I think Maine has the low population and hide away living I'm looking for! I'm starting an in depth research project on Maine as I like to do my home work before jumping into an environment. That said, its always good to be able to chat with a person from the place you are going so they can tell you about the things you wouldn't even think to ask. I feel like at least one of our folks was living there at some point?
