    It started that way and has now morphed into just another part of the their nonsensical marketing puke. Trust me, its the way its meant to be played!

    They are Nvidia's own brand, that's it. They actually don't perform any better than the 3rd parties, in fact historically they are a touch slower after 3rd parties tweak theirs. But you get them sooner, usually by a month.

    GTX is NVIDIA's top tier cards. Its a visual indication of power. It doesnt stand for anything.Previously they used: GT>GTS>GS>SE.

    Hmmm, I certainly hope this is true, but they will be returning to an even more competitive market than the one they fell out of last year! Don't get me wrong, I miss the days of AMD offering up the muscle car, all speed no frills, equivalent of power compared to Nvidia's Lincoln town car luxury approach!

    My Guess is that AMD is basically, though unofficially, out of the high end GPU industry. They are likely much more focused on how to produce best budget to mid range cards that they can sell at competitive prices and that fit well into next generation consoles. Its a near sighted strategy, but I can hardly fault them with Nvidia dominating the high end market and Intel poised to step into the breach.

    Apparently BFV, Metro Exodus, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider will, and that's a good enough start for me to be really excited!

    @Legend , Keep in mind these are "founders" pricing, the 3rd party card will be 100-200 cheaper...making them only slightly outrageous!

    Oh, it absolutely will not! I mean, this is all lovely fan fare, but I can easily see it taking another whole generation before ray tracing, even using these "cheats" will get us where most consumers will have a good experience. This, to me, is Nvidia making a turn, but not coming out of it to fire down the straight away!

    Yeah, it seems that there is a decent amount of hardware customization that occurred to achieve this outcome. I wonder/fear its lack of industry adoption. Could it be the new hair works?

    I think the next HDM will be put forward when they can offer an enhanced FOV via a superior lens. Now that I own a Vive Pro I can directly understand how much more important the lens quality is over the Resolution bump at this phase!

    That is kinda shitty! Well, we certianly know the 3rd party vendors are waiting in the wings, so you know you'll have one fairly soon! You are running the Titan Xp right now, yes? Or did you jump to the 1080ti?
