It's not that motion blur at 30 FPS is "good," it's that it's "necessary," or else the game appears juddery and shitty and there's no sense of movement over time, just weird interstitial frames (or... lack of interstitial frames, I guess?) that can become very difficult to follow during fast action. Rebirth without motion blur looked absolutely abysmal at 30 FPS.

But it's a little more complicated than "motion blur on or off," a "good" motion blur at 30 is something you're not even likely to notice, because it's very minor. It's something you only notice when it's missing. Not to be confused with exaggerated motion blur that is usually a toggle. The kind that makes you feel sick or like you can't see anything. Every movie you've ever watched has had motion blur in every single scene and no one complains because it's not a bad thing on its own.

Of course, it's even more complicated than that, since this still relies on consistent frames to give the perception of fluid motion, so with randomly fluctuating frame rates plus wild frame times, it ain't gonna be a huge help. It's when you've got a "smooth" and consistent 30 FPS that it can really serve its role of making up for dev's mistakes of making a 30 FPS game.

I mean, real life has motion blur lol. Just wave your back and forth in front of your face. Maybe there are good applications of it in gaming, but I haven't noticed them since that's not prolly something you notice when it's done right as you mentioned. Personally, I have yet to play a game that looks or performs worse with it off when given the choice.

    Ah, fun.

Ok when you try to reinstall windows what version are you using?

You could try to use an older ISO file. That way if there is some odd incompatibility it will at least reinstall windows and hopefully clean up bad drivers and such.

Older versions of windows are available from Microsoft at the below link. You may need to sign up for Visual Studio but it is free.

I haven't really tried reinstalling Windows I think. I tried the Windows Media Creation tool and I tried the Windows Update Assistant. I also tried installing the next update via the ISO shit, but I didn't try to install an update that is older than the current version or to reinstall the current version. I haven't tried to "downgrade" or "sidegrade" via an ISO file.

  3. And I did the survey last night. I told them to add more bosses and to bring back strider and assassin and give thief a real double jump and that their story is trash and that it is worse than the first game's and that there is less enemy variety than base DD1. Edit: Oh I told them Beastren are ugly furries and should be removed.

I also told them that fighting monsters is fun.

But what is there really to do? I'm exploring and opening up side quests but I can't see this game being 100 hours. Unless I'm completely missing something here.

Dragon's Dogma is about fighting monsters, getting better gear to kill monsters faster, and exploring the world to fight monsters.

That's not a problem if there is a wide variety of monsters to kill, like in Monster Hunter.

What was so bad about Dark Souls 2?  I actually liked it quite a bit.

I don't like how controlling your character feels. It is distinctly different from literally all of their other soulsbornesekiroring games. It just feels bad. I don't like. I hate it. It also translated into how your weapons swing. I hate how melee weapons feel. It's the only Souls game where I used magic. I have never used magic in the rest of the soulsbornesekiroring games. I also dislike the graphics and art style. It is generic-looking. I didn't care for its humanity system. I don't care for the bosses of the base game, never played the DLC. I hated the level design. Dark Souls 1 was master class, and DS2 dropped the ball hard. I'm sure there is more, but I just hate DS2. Oh, and it was the first souls game to change PvP to be honor-focused and have a strong host advantage. It took away being the dangerous invader. Most PvP happened because two people queued up for it in an arena and that is lame.

  6. Brutal Legend. The first hour or so was a perfect Zelda game. And then RTS shit happened.

Dark Souls 2. Once the excitement of "WOW NEW SOULS GAME" wore off I became physically repulsed from ever playing it again. Even thinking about playing it makes me "ugh..."

Not exactly what you are looking for but Fallout 3. When it came out it was the best fucking game in the world. I loved it. I spent hundreds of hours playing and beat it multiple times including the DLCs. Now I can't stand to play it. But honestly, I think it's a Bethesda Formula thing cuz I can't stand TES anymore either, but Fallout NV gives me the same feeling.
