Hand76
If I change the .exe for a Steam game to run with admin privileges, do I have to actually click on the .exe to run it as such or launching from Steam will have the same effect?

Steam does some extra bits when you run a game from it, but ultimately just launches the executable. So if you've changed the properties on the game .EXE itself to runs as admin by default, that's what it should do whether you run it from Steam or directly yourself.

Setting an executable to run as an administrator changes how the operating system treats that executable. How you launch the executable is largely irrelevant.
