Howard Schultz quits as Starbucks CEO rather than testify before Bernie’s committee

Recommended Posts

Such a weak move. Inquiries into Starbucks labor practices aren't going to go away. Given that Schultz keeps coming back as CEO, I'd be kinda pissed to be his successor and have him bail as problems come to a head. Kinda seems like he's just setting up another successor to fail.

Then again, from what I've seen of him and the way he talks about unions, it is probably for the best that he not get grilled before congress. It might even be possible that the new CEO was adamant that he not testify.
