  1. I wish they'd cut it out with "move fast and break things".  The companies that coined that shit were trying to get you to look at your feed more or buy more HDMI cables.  But you get these other psychos who use it to test out their own ego driven bullshit on unsuspecting people who may get run over by a self driving car or crushed at the bottom of the sea.

I don’t know the details of the French connection so called censorship, but streaming services being shitty is why I’m strongly considering creating my own personal cloud starting from physical media that I own.

I ripped my whole physical collection years ago and then spent years on the Netflix disc plan ripping those too to a USB raid cabinet plugged into a computer running a Plex server.  Physical media kind of slowly dying along with the soon death of the Netflix disc plan means my personal library is now being supplemented on the high seas via a Swiss VPN.

The Venn diagram of individuals who hold anti-vaccination views and those other ones is effectively a perfect circle, ESPECIALLY when it comes to anti-Semitism.

It genuinely blows me away that merely because he's "anti-vax" that's a dead to rights type dismissal by so many, yet that isn't his only standpoint. Personally, regardless, I'm at the point where I say "Let chaos reign!" and let the chips fall where they may. It isn't entirely surprising that the supposed left has their own Trump like figure now if that's how one may quantify it. To be fair, with everything else going on over the last 9ish months, I've done what I can to avoid a lot of news & such as it is far too stressful & my empathetic nature just gets crushed by how awful the world can be anyways.

I just have always believed in listening to all sides & points of argument that a person holds to, before making a rational judgement. From my perspective, it seems as though if one thing doesn't align with one's own beliefs, they're immediately written off now.

Being anti-vax is one of those things that tell you whether someone lives in the same world as the rest of us or not.  Vaccines are an objective good and save lives, that's just kind of a fact.  There's also the fact that conspiracy theories are a package deal, no one ever believes in just one, like he thinks that wifi causes brain damage among other things.  We should want leaders to at the very least live in the real world and I'm perfectly fine with mocking the ones who want the job who don't.

The web developer woman who didn't want to make LGBT wedding sites doesn't even make wedding web sites and was never asked to create a gay wedding site. She just went to court because she really didn't want to just I case it ever came up.

This is a complicated topic... because I wouldn't want to make a website for something I didn't believe in either... but if you just change her complaint to her refusing to make a site for an interracial couple and it starts to become more clear why laws actually do need to be involved.

It's not that complicated a topic.  Businesses have less rights than people, they just do.  They have to follow anti-discrimination laws (or did I guess) along with significantly more strict health and safety laws and other regulations that don't apply to regular people.  They decided long ago that "whites only" was not an okay policy for a business to have.  It just kind of breaks down to the fact that if you can't serve the public then you might not have what it takes to be in business for yourself.
