This is more likely a glitch with whatever program they’re using to produce the CC on screen. I’ve encountered something similar with basically every streaming service in the past, including it pulling the CC for a different episode or show. It’s unlikely they “just didn’t bother putting in the CC”.maybe i lost hearing in one of my ears a couple of years ago and so now watch everything with subtitles on and this is the first time I've encountered the issue. Just seemed insane that it would happen on a show centered around a deaf character

it gets worse...at least in the Kingpin scene you could hear what they were saying but there is now an entire scene with her cousin in which they have a conversation completely in sign language with captioning!!! how the hell do you move a story forward when 99% of the people watching will likely have no freaking clue what is happening?
-
I don't believe this shit. I am 20 minutes into the first episode and half the scenes don't have closed captioning, hell some scenes start with it and then it just stops (the Kingpin limo scene specifically). Seriously of all the shows for them to screw up CC on, the one featuring a deaf mute is not the one

still chipping away on this. Shocked by how long it is. 45-50 hours in and I think I still have a few main missions left, though I definitely feel like I am getting near the end.

BULLET TRAIN 3.5/5
Yet another fun action/comedy movie with plenty of action from David Leitch. I really like seeing Pitt’s comedic chops on display (much like Burn After Reading) I really dug the cast for movie, even if they were nothing more then really a cameo before being offed/get off the train. Liked the small backstories and their thoughts on people and what they learn from Thomas The Tank Engine. Might of dragged a tiny bit here and there, but I enjoyed the ride. Watched on Prime in 4K which also included an Atmos track. Both were pretty good but you can still see where streaming has some limitations over a good 4k disc.
I love Bullet Train. I can't even tell you how many times I've watched it

didn't watch but on twitter there are a ton of vids from the red carpet and WTF half the women look like they've either been crying or trying desperately not to cry, especial Natalie Portman. Something happen before the thing started?

down side the actors that play Odo and Nog are no longer with us. I wish we got a DS9 movie in the early to mid 2000s.It does suck, but I'd still love to see more DS9

maybe I was never paying attention but I don't recall any issues with how he played the character. The issues centered around race were always quite powerful. Though I will say his character's open hostility over racial matters always seemed a bit odd given the time period and the other series tended to have made it seem as if race issues (at least in terms amongst humans) were resolved. Of course like I said, those episodes that touched on the racial issues tended to be some of the best ones. It also helped that unlike the other series DS9 had the what I considered to best overarching storyline.

I want a DS9 movie!

Finally finished up Holly. What an ending. Great story, if only King wasn't suffering from TDS so badly. Seriously these last several years it's gotten insane. I recall when I enjoyed his tweets. But all his fun pics of his dog Molly have been replaced rants about Trump. The uncontrolled anger can't be healthy, and how much time is the man spending thinking about the man? It's annoying but not so much that I don't already have his next book ordered.

Happy Birthday...it's all downhill from here, lol

finished and if anything the last hour makes it even worse. Snyder sucks. I enjoyed his first three movies, but since then it's all been crap. the guy doesn't know hot to tell a coherent story or make you give a flying good shit about and of his characters. Honestly I was waiting for someone to just start yelling MARTHA!!!! Does anyone at Netflix oversee the shit they dump movie into?

I enjoyed this. The middle is mess. Building the team felt like a check list of “let’s do this cool thing”. But it was big, pretty and dumb enough that I’m looking forward to part 2. Kinda reminds of that Chris Pratt time travel alien movie thing on Amazon.
I'm an hour into it and calling it mediocre is almost an insult to mediocre films everywhere. This makes the Pratt amazon film look like citizen kane. Maybe the send half will change my mind.

hope to finish up Holly by the end of the day tomorrow
