I didn't comment on the film itself. I just really dislike Ashley Birch. But I'm definitely finishing this as I'm an hour in now.
Maybe because I haven't played it in so long but didn't recognize her as the voice of Alloy.

Well right off the bat a big negative for me is fuckin Aloy is the star of this. I cannot stand her voice lol. I'm about 15 minutes in.
get off the pipe my friend. I just finished watching and loved it. My only problem is I can't figure out exactly what genre I'd place it in.

. However I feel the whole book store subplot sorta got stopped dead in its tracks.
hell it barely got started and never got anywhere near developed to the point that having it play a pivotal role in Dalton's actions honestly made no sense. I know what the film was going for but they never spent enough time on it to make it feel real, they just seemed to think 'well...the audience will understand we don't actually need to spend any real time building an actual/emotional connection here'

well got to finish watching and it was okay, nothing special. Conor McGregor's character was idiotic. Then watched the original...been forever since I watched and i had flashbacks to the 80s. The villain is basically every bad guy from the A-team

Anyone watch this yet? Reviews from last week made it sound “fun if you take it for what it is”
started watching last night but then a big ass thunderstorm erupted in my area and the power went out for half the night. What I saw was fairly decent

Finally watched the movie version of The Rainmaker. Not the best film translation of Grisham's work but still damn solid.

I don't think anything can redeem the steaming pile of crap that was part 1

That second trailer just showed the entire movie. No need to see it now.
so I'll skip watching the trailer

is this is the one that is coming from Weinstein's former personal assistant?

I'm an idiot and currently have 5 books in progress.
rookie j/k you need to work yourself up to reading more than a few at a time. I've been doing it for years but right now and normally have no issue keeping all the various stories straight and yet I've made a bit of a mistake in that arena. Two of the books I'm currently working on are How To Make a Horror Movie and Survive by Craig DiLouise and Horror Movie by Paul Tremblay. While the stories are completely different, look at these covers and you might guess why I get a bit confused, lol.

I found the only real reason I got mercenaries is to have characters I could place in the towns to collect the supplies.

Been on a psychological thriller kick lately and discovered Frieda McFadden. Been going through her books.
you know she is not the best writer from a technical standpoint but her books are always entertaining as hell

I should have mentioned Josef's level is nerfed. He starts at level 20 and 25 hours in...he's still level 20

Also, Josef seems OP and I presume he will disappear at some point so I'm trying to level up my other units.
18 hours in and he's still here

game is insanely good. And it's one you can play for just 5-10 minutes or 5 hours.

only caught the last few minutes. WTF was up with Pacino just announcing the winner without listing the nominations? Also glad to hear Godzilla won.
-
watched the first 3 episodes, so far so good

Extremely well done. It's forever since I read the book but I seem to remember things that weren't shown so it wouldn't have bothered me if it had been longer. As already mentioned I'd love to see LoTR style extended editions eventually released.

I think a lot of people associate Rob Reiner with funny movies like This is Spinal Tap or The Princess Bride
these days I associate him as someone suffering from a severe case of TDS
As for Stand By Me, this is one of those rare cases where the movie adaptation is freaking perfect if not better than the source material

Might be the first to figure this out. Let this go viral lol.
nah, there's another game where people were using the online backup as a save file they could reboot from, but for the life of me I can't remember what game. And I know people were doing something similar with Dragon Quest Monsters to reset the random egg hatches as well

I remember my parents watching the original 1980 miniseries starring Richard Chamberlain.
Richard Chamberlain was the king of the miniseries in the 1980s. If there was a miniseries, chances were that Richard Chamberlain was in the lead actor role.
several for sure

Earth shattering? No, but this one was a lot of fun.
