I wonder how people in Japan feel about this game. To see a Western studio take their history and culture, and make a game from it. If Sucker Punch gets a lot of thinks accurate they might think that's pretty cool, but if they get a lot wrong, then the Japanese might be rolling their eyes at this Western dogshit that doesn't understand anything.
While the Japanese can be racist and xenophobic, they do not subscribe to cultural appropriation in the least (because they aren’t crazy people, they realize other cultures using things from theirs is not an insult).

America needs to show these idiots what real political violence is. Not a little rioting. Its time to start pulling politicians who aren’t governing for the people straight out of their offices and hang them in the streets. The only reason they are so bold is because they don’t fear the electorate.
-
Not gonna happen. No party will ever get the votes they would need to do it in todays political climate.

She couldn’t defend her opinions from Joe Rogan without making herself look like a fool (and all Rogan did was question her civilly, it wasn’t a fight, and she tripped all over herself)
when you can’t debate Joe Rogan on facts, you probably aren’t the best person to be reporting facts. Joe Rogan isn’t exactly a silver tongued devil.

Meh. I am not bothered one way or the other. Some people definitely don’t deserve to live. I am also fine with an end to the death penalty, because I know it doesn’t help anything, but its not on my list of important issues.
-
Wow. Definitely wasn’t expecting that. RIP.

Your posts in this thread have been very good. Just felt the need to say that.
They are, and I’m not trying to devalue them or pretend in any way that his ideas are wrong. We just have so many issues in this country, I don’t see this as being a fight more than a few politicians want to win. The blowback against it would be incredible. I can hear the crazies already. “Fuck you commie, I'm going to idle around the city twice as much because ‘Murica!”

That's why almost no one is saying abolish all of the above by fiat. Hell, even a car free city needs a transition period, but it starts with ending subsidies for cars like free parking and minimum parking requirements in new development (in core and core adjacent areas that are well served by transit and/or are walkable) and undoing racist zoning that keeps housing from being built in areas that most need it: high price, high demand areas, instead of pushing that development in minority/less affluent neighborhoods, causing gentrification.
All while we prioritize humans over 2,000 lbs of steel and aluminum by making places safe to walk and bike to and through. And move from there.
These things must be done, if not for future human health, then for current human health, safety, and economy.
Again, you have a dream where the average American cares about his fellow countrymen.
35% of this country believes the poor shouldn’t have health care, Goerge Floyd got what he deserved because he had prior criminal history, and call BLM terrorists, on top of being climate change deniers. And thats just on the other side. Also, the liberal party is extremely divided in what they want, and the centrist democrats do not want this. If anything I would say they are bipartisanly against it. Pretending America is going to change because a small group on the left wishes it so isn’t realistic.
Biden is still against universal healthcare, and you think these people care about Health?

Im not saying your idea is bad, im saying America is fucked, and much of it would rather die than change.
we fetishize cars just as much as we do guns. America believes it has a right to drive.

AI cars won't happen you doofuses. Can't always count on tech to save us!
AI cars are already here. It has a higher chance of happening than Americans giving up their cars in the next 30 years. You are a minority. Most people don’t want private transport gone. That may not be right, but it is America. Fuck the Earth, dont’t inconvenience me. That’s where we are as a country. And even if it was what liberals wanted (it isn’t), the other half would fight it tooth and nail because ‘Murica and my right not to wear a mask, or something.

Has she tried telling her that Donald Trump has probably paid for more abortions for his mistresses than every single Democrat in office combined? She doesn’t “like” trump, she just hates abortion. To her its a horrible, unforgivable crime. It’s just weird, but thats who she is. If my wife had an abortion, i think she would disown her, literally.
and democrats are not going to nominate anti-abortion judges. -

When I was in college I made the mistake of smoking cigars and having only beer to drink on a shit-ass golf course in northern NJ in a day pushing 100 degrees. By the time we finished I was so dehydrated I wasn't seeing colors correctly and I'd lost about 5 pounds. So not exercise, but if you wanna drop a few lbs really quickly, I highly recommend almost perishing on a golf course.
Yeah. Its only really any kind of exercise if you’re actually carrying your bag for 18. And Trump has never, ever done that, I'm sure.

The Routh Superman series could be a short series made for HBOMAX. Greg Berlanti supposedly will be working on both series.
I don’t believe DC will allow two Superman live action series. Im also sure CW has a contract that negates the ability of another network making shows with the same heroes.
That said, I’d love it if you were right.

This thread is harrowing.
My wifes mother is a health care worker, and a (black) trump supporter. It’s literally mind boggling. My wife has tried to talk sense to her multiple times, but it’s impossible. She believes she can keep her beliefs and her job separate. But she still refuses to wear a mask outside of work, which is incredibly irresponsible for a health professional.
I should clarify, she isn’t so much a Trump supporter as she is an “anyone who is pro-life” supporter. She doesn’t subscribe to his racism, but refuses to vote for anyone who supports abortion rights.

I didn’t like the first game, so I never tried the sequel, but I might give this a chance when theres a dry spell.

Man, there has been some incredible cutscenes and conversations I've found this second time around that I had no idea about. I found so many new places in spots I thought I had completely searched. Like the Bank, I had no idea there was a bank (it had the one safe I missed), and the special piece of treasure in it. Some minor stuff with Joel that I missed which was really sweet. And I only finished up to the start of Seattle day 2.
If Naughty Dog really wants to give us a new game in this world, I would like one about Joels early life during the outbreak (there’s actually an old FEDRA note you find in one area from a Private Miller, I wonder if thats coincidence, but I always thought Joel was a hunter before he and tommy separate).
that, or 30+ years in the future. They have finally set up a lab in Jackson that they can create a cure from, but the doctor needs to be brought safely to jackson. The first half about JJ getting to the doctor (and us finding out its Abby, who began studying to take up her father’s work once she and Lev made it to the fireflies after the end of tLoU2), and getting her back to Jackson. The second half of the game could be about getting the vaccine to the other communities that have popped up around the country.
anything, as long as the protagonist is not Ellie. I really don’t want to see her go through more Trauma. Her, Joel, and Abby are some of my favorite characters of this generation, and I don’t think I want to see either of them continue to suffer.

It's odd that DC is kinda forcing this show to stay on the air when fans have voiced that they want that Kingdom Come / Routh Superman character to have his own series since when he was first teased however long ago that was.
Is Batwoman somehow integral to the CWuniverse that would be ruined without her? I honestly don't know since I haven't seen it yet...
They are not going to do two separate Superman shows at the same time.

The pallets are annoying. Joel should have just taught her to swim before they got to Pittsburgh.
the last gameplay section you can actually avoid almost all of the guys if you run to the right. I found it pretty good when you do that!
I usually like to kill everyone, all through the game. Usually with nail bombs and the hunting pistol.
In part 2 its been explosive arrows and leading people into trip mines with ellie.
my biggest kill is 6 humans with one arrow in the TV station.

They already have had this available.
An Xbox One S All Digital was $20.00 a month for 24 months. This included Game Pass and XBL Gold. Xbox Live Gold and Gme Pass alone are $15 a month, so you are essentially paying an extra $5.00 a month for 24 months for the console itself, or $120.
Xbox One S with disc drive is $23.00 a month. Xbox One X is $25.00 a month. (Who wouldn't pay the extra $5.00 for the X)
It's really not a bad deal at all if you were going to be paying $15.00 anyway for Game Pass Ultimate. You essentially get the console at less than retail.
That really doesn’t sound bad.
that’s assuming they subsidize the the next console that much. Maybe they will give the Lockhart at that price point, but the flagship box will probably be quite a bit more.
