  1. Yeah, im personally under no illusion that those quests are fun or engaging. The background story is often interesting, but the quest design is awful.
  2. It’s more the background story from quests I like, not the quests structure itself. I agree that’s pretty bad design
  3. I understand the combat complaints. Also wish it had deeper rpg elements. otherwise it’s my second favorite game this year so far.
  4. I don’t know, I also love DMC, so while the combat isn’t exactly the same, I’m still really enjoying it. I won’t lie, I would absolutely prefer Elden Ring Great Sword style fighting, I do think SoP has better combat. I also wish the game had deeper RPG mechanics. Nothing about this is an RPG, outside of the deep story. But I also absolutely love the game. I had to pull myself away from it just now. It’s definitely one of my top 3 games of this year, and this year has been incredible. And it just keeps ramping up faster and faster. One of the most exciting stories I’ve played through in a while.
  5. God no. I can kill those turtles in a minute tops. stagger with wind abilities, damage with fire when he drops. also, yuse the wind circle ability at 50% stagger to get an extra big damage boost
  6. But combat is over in seconds for me for anything but a boss fight or elite monster. and the wind abilities completely destroy stagger guages, then you destroy them with your phoenix abilities. I haven’t tried story mode, no interest in that
  7. I don’t know how far you are, but I have had some recent incredible cutscenes and story experience. For me, I just went back to to the demo section (and finished that). Are you further than me?
  8. Gameplay wise, aside from combat, this doesn’t compare with Zelda, but man, the story is so, so much better. plus the combat is incredible once you get used to it.
  9. I mean, not really just don’t get why anyone would purposely read a spoiler. I stopped for the night after doing some side quests. I need some sleep, but man, are they ever nailing the story and characters. some arcs ending, others beginning, characters weaving in and out, you can see the main character changing in real time, softening towards some things, hardening towards others. The GoT influence is definitely thick, except so far it seems to be telling a more meaningful story. Clive definitely is Jon Snow, except with a more interesting personality.
