  1. Everthing about this game looks awesome, it's the kind of game I'm into that's why I bought it. It's just the loading times that I'm worried about. If the patch fixes them then cool but I've seen things like whole sections of the fort not loading in with the only way to make them load is to clip through the floor to force a reload. Also it seems like everything is based around slow loading from actual loading screens between everything and slow loading in of gear in the forge. Regardless of all that I'm still going to play it even if it's an underdog. I'm practically sick of Destiny's static enemies that tend to be rooted within short areas that you alway know where they'll be. Anthem's enemies seem to chase you down.

  2. There's really no review bombing as those aren't reviews. RT has a function that asks users if they're looking forward to the movie and users are answering with "no" and explaining why mostly because of Brie Larson's recent anti-white male rhetoric. Other reasons I'm sure are that it looks like a boring film(and it does!), that it's uneeded filler with End Game releasing soon after and that few people even know who Captain Marvel is. Captain Marvel comics are tanking, the character has been rebooted about 5 or 6 times within the last 7 years. Marvel doesn't know what to do with her and is for some odd reason banking on her for the MCU but it doesn't look like it's going to do as well as they wanted. Many people think Marvel is trying push her to be their version of Wonder Woman. That movie was fucking amazing and practically everyone loved it. Instead of focusing a film around one of Marvels truly sucessful female heroes they choose one who no one cares about. Fucking stupid.

It depends on the area regarding revives. Like in Destiny there are no respawn zones although they are slightly more punishing. If you die in one of those, then you have to wait for a teammate to revive you. No other option. If you die outside of one of those, then there is a countdown to when you can respawn on your own. Like 10 seconds I believe. They could benefit from fixing that a little though because it isn't exactly quick. It respawns you far away from the fracas and there is even a load screen to do so.

That could be in a Nightfall or the Raid(things I never do because there's no matchmaking) but outside of those there's always a countdown timer to auto-revive in Destiny. The most I've seen was 30 seconds I think.

Reading the responses, just about everyone is hating on the game.  I honestly can't understand why.  It's like perfection almost for me thus far.  People complaining about loading screens then talking about how welly designed Destiny is.  I spent more time in Loading screens for Destiny than I did actually playing the game.

I have a strong feeling we'll see plenty of hate for the game from the Destiny fan base that hasn't even played the game.  It's also EA so plenty will love to hate on it for that too.  The open world is pretty massive and beautifully detailed and designed, so I'm not shocked it takes some time to load.  Loading into the Fort and into the caves is pretty damn quick.

Do people really play a game like this and not explore the side content at all and just rush through the main story, because that's really what it feels like.  The challenges on those doors were like 60% done when I got to that part of the story.

The main complaint about loading that I have read is mostly during co-op such as the distance between you and another player seems to be pretty short otherwise if you fall behind you'll be forced into a loading screen in order to catch up to a teamate who's rushing ahead. And it can be worse because once you've finally loaded in you are quicky forced into yet another loading screen because that teamate is still far ahead of you.  On top of this if you care about the story all these loading screens will cause other players to miss the dialog. So of you plan to see the story play all missions as host or solo.

There also seems to be a problem with the reviving mechanic. If you go down in co-op there's no timer that auto revives you so you have to rely on your teamates. So a random player can easily grief you by leaving you on the ground for the whole mission.

So what is free roam like, destiny?

I haven't had a chance yet, will do it tonight when I get rolling.. I have just been doing missions in the time I've played.

It's kind of like Destiny but it's limited to 4 players max and enemies scale.

That's why I don't get the incessant praise br gets in general.. Maybe it's a generation thing and I'm simply not in that mix, but I just personally don't get it nor how this stuff makes gazillions off skins. That's just me tho... For those that love it I say awesome but I can't get there when it comes to such barebone games either.

I think the real money is made from the parents of children who want to look cool in front of their friends and from adult "whales" who want to own everything because they can't control their spending habits. But the gameplay has to be good enough too and Apex is damned good. It's the best BR I've played and I hate the genre, so I guess I kind hate it less. I just can't be bothered with these games for long, no matter how polished they are, because they're really the same one mode over and over and over again. Some people feel that the randomness of the gun fights make these games less repetitve but whenever I start I always remember that i'm going to be doing a whole lot of running around equiping stuff over and over before I start shooting and then once I do get into a fight it's probably going to last a few seconds and I'm going to be staring at a loading screen or waiting for someone to revive me so I get frustrated and I'm already pissed off before I start playing and want to go watch YouTube or something else instead. (I need to re-evaluate my life)

Battle Royale games really are not for me even though Apex Legends is the best theire is and set in a universe I really like. I'm just not a try-hard competitive multiplayer lunatic. I'd rather play casual TDM games where you don't have to rely on teamates. I might try the game here and there once it's updated(probably won't bother at all), maybe if they add solo play. But right now one mode and a VERY slow grind isn't enough for to hold my interest.

My bad man. It’s Saturday so my sarcasm meter is officially turned off until Monday.

But yea, I honestly think Biggie didn’t even play it.  There’s no other explanation for such an inexplicably wrong opinion. lol

He played it, he has more trophies for it than I do. He probably just lost interested in it like I did. It's a pretty game for sure but the gameplay for me just didn't suck me in to the point where I felt I wanted to see more. I may get around it later but the hype killed the game for me. It did not live up to it. It's not really a GOW game like the originals which I think I liked more. It can be game of the year if people want it to be but awards are always subjective and meaningless.

  8. If you go by the Reddit page this game sounds like a buggy loading simulator that has so many "that wasn't intended" responses from Bioware developers, you'd think the game was rushed to release. Supposedly there's a story mission that requres you to complete annoying tasks(like find chests which only the host can open if in a squad) in Freeplay in order to progress the story further.

Oh don't repeat what others have told me, like how he clearly told you about the first Captain Marvel being a black woman (which is incorrect) in this video, where he also complains about Brie Larson not smiling enough?

    You're pathetic.

Well, she doesn't smile at all really and it was funny but that doesn't make Ethan Van Sciver a mysoginist, it's just criticism and he's going for humor, something people like you lack.

Anyway the first female Captain Marvel was a black woman, Monica Rambeau. She had no connection to Mar-Vell and had her own powers. She was pretty badassed, took no shit from anyone and was even a leader of The Avengers. The history of the character "Captain Marvel" is a confusing one but if you want to know more about it read this: https://io9.gizmodo.com/the-unfortunate-and-obscure-history-of-monica-rambeau-1726108988 Carol Danvers was first a side character "Ms. Marvel" and later turned into Captain Marvel after Rambeau faded away. Rambeau was the first and Marvel should have had the guts to make a movie about her instead of a safe white character.

Originally Carol Danvers was dressed as a big breasted blonde for teenagers to drool over. Then she became more modest and now looks too manly. At least in the movie she looks more fitting as a real super hero which matches all the current MCU characters, but no one really cares about her and I don't think this movie will do well. The comics are not selling and having someone like Brie Larson playing the role is making her character even worse. She's miscast as Brie is very wooden and is only using this movie to further her activsm. It's a movie that doesn't need to be made and none of the trailers make it look interesting in the slightest. Why is there nothing of substance to talk about with these trailers? Because there's nothing of substance about them!
