In all seriousness though, Twitch by design makes the popular more popular and pushes everyone else to the page 3 wasteland. There's virtually no breaking out of it unless you gain popularity elsewhere and bring it with you.

just add a battle royale mode.

i just bought my XBO X at the beginning of the year and I'd be fine with developers using it and the PS4 Pro as the target console for a few more years.

The older i get the less i care about pixel counts and all that jazz. i think we're at a point now where games don't really need to look much better. Just focus on keeping your game from running like ass. Conan Exiles.

who cares, we're just going to be using them to play Skyrim again.

I would even be okay with a Witcher game starring Ciri that's not necessarily an open world RPG. 

It could be like the original Witcher where it's broken up into chapters with smaller maps and a tighter story. That would also mean it wouldn't take 10 years for us to get it.

I've played through both darksiders games and the main problem with them is that the Horsemen are the most one-dimensional bland characters and you really dont care about them or what theyre trying to do. Everything else is technically fine.

I really, really wanted to like that game.

Recently played it on xbox through game pass and i just couldnt get into it. That first hour is incredibly boring.

I want Forza Horizon to perfect the metroidvania genre.

I'm not saying there isn't an existing problem. But that doesnt dismiss the fact that her creating an issue when there wasnt one makes others increasingly tone deaf whenever something else legitimately requires attention.

I played it through from start to finish and it was literally the same puzzle mechanic from beginning to end. By the time I finished I was so fuckin' tired of pointing lasers, and the whole sentient A.I. philosophy got old about halfway through. I literally forced myself to finish it.

It's almost as if a whole bunch of people complained about MS focusing too much on Tv/multimedia so they decided not to spend extra time and money on it.

I remember by the end of this I was so hyped for the Wii, I was almost counting the minutes until launch. 

 

Wii launch was a rough time for me, my mother was very sick with Cancer.  Stuff like this kept me reasonably sane. 

 

I know there are a lot of Giant Bomb fans on here, but I preferred them back in the day when they were less jaded. 

 

What early gaming streams do you remember?  

Yeah the Giant Bomb guys just sound like they're just trying to be excited most of the time now. Plus Jeff usually looks like he wakes up at noon on the break room couch and stumbles next door to the office. 

Pretty sure it was one of the E3's. Never really cared about live streaming but once G4TV went kaput I had to get my E3 news somehow.

Live streaming before Twitch was a hot shitty mess though so it was a matter of bouncing back and forth between whichever website wasn't currently crashing.

None of those games require much conscious thought to play.

I do feel like it was a great game that just got a bit over-hyped. Like people were on the bandwagon and saying it was the bestest ever just because everyone else said so. I enjoyed it and it was still a solid game (that got patched literally every day for the first two weeks) but I just don't think the story was as amazing as some people were making it out to be. The gradual shift in Kratos's opinion toward Boy was great and natural, but I felt like they leaned a little too heavily on it and that in return some of the other game elements were under-developed (like what Bacon mentioned above.)

I did really like the evolving hub world, but I didn't like that the World Serpent was basically just a set piece. I did like the combat, but I didn't like how the depiction of Kratos's strength was wildly inconsistent (like it is in all the God of War games.) You mean to tell me that he and Baldur can literally beat the living piss out of each other, toppling mountains and making cracks in the ground, yet some shitty little skeleton thing is gonna smack him a few times and that's the end?

Oh and the ending was the most anti-climactic "that's it?" of an ending I've experienced in a while.

Being on the podcast would be fun but I work most nights so scheduling anything is a fucking nightmare.

Yeah. Honestly, after a while you get pretty tired of tapping people's posters. Also a lot of people just arent paying attention. 

My favorite time was a lady sitting on her front lawn spraying people with her water hose. It was South Texas in August so she was probably the most popular lady out there.
