Truth Social is locked in a bitter battle with one of its vendors claiming that the platform is stiffing the company out of some contractually obligated payments.

I least he is consistent in not paying anyone.

“Because of NDAs, we are not allowed to disclose company names, but we can say this solution comes from strong demand from publishing partners,” the spokesperson wrote. They also claimed it would not hurt “in-game” performance. “Software publishers and Denuvo take great care to deliver the best gaming experience,” the spokesperson wrote. “The protection is designed not to affect the gamer’s experience, and it does not have any in-game performance impact. It is the same for this new solution when protection is only active in non-performance critical code parts.”

Tell that to every PC gamer that has only seen the performance of their games increase after your shit DRM was removed.

Frankly this seems like a win win for Nintendo. They love punishing gamers in anyway they can and their loyal fanbase laps up anything they do as good for gaming.

    David Ortiz got one.

    Odd Pujols isn't.

I forgot about Ortiz. I meant to mention but the major jerk off sessions that teams did for the Yankees players just jump to the forefront of my mind.

I mean I guess Arizona gave him a going away gift by aiding him on his quest to 700. But it would have been nice to see that same type of thing him.

  4. Sort of wish baseball had a going away celebration for Albert like they did for for Jeter and Rivera, but I get it that sort of thing is reserved for Yankees players. Would have been nice to see Arizona do something like give him a piece of the old scoreboard or have Randy Johnson do a ceremonial first pitch to him at the start of the series.

  5. I have been sort of waiting for a Yankee regression most of the season. I never thought of them to be be more than an 89-90 win team and maybe sneaking into the playoffs with the new format. With Tampa and Toronto duking it out for the top spot in the division. They really didnt seem like a team that had it in them to be on a almost 110 win pace coming out of July, but that is why we play the game. I also had Cleveland as the winner of the AL Central because I just pick one due to it always feeling like the one division in baseball that no team wants to win.

  6. The US has this thing that we hate adopting newer technologies. Hence the low adoption rate of induction stovetops, heatpumps and other technologies that people in this county have deemed new and unproven but have been around for some time now.

Induction also has the thing that people look at it and think it is the old coil burn tops under glass, along with thinking they need to replace all their existing cookware to use it.

One of the consumer rebates is for a heat pump dryer/ventless dryer. Realistically, that's probably the one thing I'd personally look into in the immediate future. Our A/C and water heater are both pretty new, and I'm probably a couple of years away from a new car.

I love our heat pump dyer. Because of where it is located in the house I ended up using the old vent for outdoors and have it drain into a flower bed.

  8. Arizona trades Luke Weaver to the Royals, man between this and the on again off again seasons of Kelly make the Goldschmidt trade tough. After Kendrick publicly stated that Goldy would be a D-Back as long as he wanted it is hard to trust this ownership group to do what is right for the team in the end.

It's amazing how car dealerships are pretty much universally hated yet Americans go absolutely fucking ballistic if you propose policies that mean they'd never have to deal with a car dealership ever again.

Because for some damn reason we have it in our collective heads that if you can't go to the dealership you can't get vehicle. Dealerships are one of the last bastions of brick and mortar being conceived as better for the customer. Even though it is also widely considered a cesspool of scam artists that nickel and dime customers with bullshit upcharges that you have to fight tooth and nail to avoid paying. So in the end it is not better for the customer, we as a society have just duped ourselves into thinking it is.
