I like twin stick shooters and tactics this doesn't look bad

I'll be honest, I bought it because the twin stick shooting parts looked really solid. And for the most part they are, each of the "waifus" you can select as a co-pilot changes the weapon loadout and some of the side mission you stumble upon while searching the galaxy map can be pretty tough.

The tactics part is a mix bag. Most of the time it is way to easy, but then a story mission will happen that might take a couple of attempts because it tosses a new mechanic at you. Outside of the once per girl, I think, the sex stuff is optional. The dialog (talking about koalas has been one of my favorite parts) has been pretty fun, and the story is the typical space fantasy rebels vs empire type faire.

One of the comments said they might have switched to a tactical channel which I assume is where they ordered Quiznos or something cause they didn’t seem to do fuck all else

Could be. Funny story, the only time our tac channel ever get used is if somebody sit wrong on the radio in their cars. Both of our officer involved shootings (as well as all our pursuits and our armed robbery) in the last 30 years were on the regular channels.

Speaking of, we just has a weather statement for high winds issued here.

My favorite part of the state is this:

    Quote

FIRE CONCERNS: Be fire safe and smart this busy Memorial Day
weekend. If you are enjoying outdoor activities such as camping,
off-roading, or BBQing, be sure to have plenty of extra water
available and follow any local fire restrictions. Be extra
vigilant and cautious, and don't be that guy or gal that ignites a
    fire this weekend.

    Nice touch NWS.

  4. It is a state by state adoption thing as far as I know. We use to have the text 911 feature but it ended up being an expanse that nobody used, if I remember correct. Sadly there isn't a uniform 911 standard in the country outside of calling 911.

Hell, even in my state there isn't a uniformed standard. As some counties have programs that others don't.

Wouldn’t a dispatcher be trained to immediately pay attention to someone WHISPERING? How fucking dumb can you be?

Yes, training includes these type of scenarios. Information and caller safety run neck and neck on priorities. Sadly, there hang-ups happen more often than one would like to think in emergency situations.

Also, if doesn't matter if you already had calls about the situation. More often than not, those other calls coming in will help paint a more complete picture to pass along to services.

A 911 dispatcher who hung up on a woman calling for help while the mass shooting unfolded is now reportedly on leave awaiting a disciplinary hearing.

From a now former 911 dispatcher. This is sickening.

  7. This last evening I spotted some smoke while there were thunderstorms in the area coming over the mountain that runs just to the West of us.

Poking around the cameras it does seem that our town has a small (and hopefully it stays that way) wildfire on the other side of said mountains. This would be roughly 7-10ish miles away as the bird flies.

Congress needs a uniform dress code for all members.

I mean is that the "reason" a couple of male senator voted from the coat room on the confirmation hearing for KBJ. Is because the dress code required them to wear a tie.

Maybe Lindsey should have just walked out on the floor in a mini-skirt and a plunging neckline to avoid the dress code.
