  1. I guess it should be explained that they can't open or close the roof of Chase Field anymore when fans are in the building, because of the risk of the cables snapping and potentially injuring or killing fans. This is due to years of the county not fulfilling their end of routine maintenance. The next off-season the Dbacks plan to install  a net system of sorts to prevent cables that might snap from reaching the fans so they can open and close the roof again,

In the mean time, if this were to happen during the regular season they have tarps to cover the mound and home plate area. But, like yesterday they don't know how the playing surface could impact potential player injuries risks if wet...

The RNC & Down ballot republicans are fucked this election cycle. There won't be any money to support them.

The RNC will equate Trump's endorsement as more than enough of an investment for most all the campaigns. New suckers candidates will welcome this as it might get them stage time with Trump. The loyalist will get what little is left from the RNC and will lap it up. Everyone else is shit out of luck.

Astros and Snell apparently heating up talks. I wouldn't complain about him, but I wonder if he is actually the right fit for an Astros team that really needs an innings eater given the gutting of the bullpen and the unknown of the arms that are likely to replace the lost bullpen innings. I actually think Monty might make more sense, both on the field and with respect to the price the organization will pay. Not the dollars, but the impact of luxury tax threshold breaking on international pool money and draft positioning.

I really don't think the asking price of both Snell and Monty are worth it. But if push came to shove, I would rather have Monty over Snell. Snell just has those years where he seems like the greatest pitcher alive, between large bouts of near league average.

  4. Think the Yankees will take a chance on known clubhouse cancer, Trevor Bauer? I mean he is in the mindset that he is the greatest pitcher to ever live after mopping up Dodger minor leaguers.

Advocating for people to be more involved and vote for who best represent their values. She’s just the worst, right? Totally an enemy of democracy. Republicans cant compete with people thinking for themselves. It’s just not fair.

I believe there are some out there that have already called her out for "election interference."

The Red Sox biggest offseason acquisition, Lucas Giolito, is likely out for the entire season with a UCL tear.

Quoting a portion of your quote @Commissar SFLUFAN

For the most part, this is not correct. Farmers here do NOT understand (or at a minimum do not care about) this. They use every last drop of water they are legally allowed to so that they don't get their allotment cut for the next season. Some laws are trying to change this. But they gotta feed the thirsty alfalfa plant and ship it off to Chinese cows. Our governor was an alfalfa farmer. He is very legitimately concerned about water usage.

This is exactly what happens here to Walker Lake. Farmers in Yerington would rather flood their farms and cause millions in property damage than allow water to flow to the lake from Walker River. There is a group that buys water rights in small incremates to keep a bit flowing, but it isn't enough. Meanwhile, there are a few court cases that have been ongoing for over a decade now to try and get more water to the lake.

Here is the timelapse of the lake over the last 40ish years.
