  1. I started playing Ghost Recon: Breakpoint again, and I’m enjoying it more now than I did a few years ago. Ubisoft made a lot of improvements to it, and it’s a much better game now. This video basically explains why:

I’ve been waiting for Wanted: Dead to hit $15 and this gets me that along with three other games (Eastward, Lisa, Scars Above) I’m at least a little interested in, especially Lisa.

Scars Above is a pretty good third person sci-fi survival horror game set on an alien planet, I think that you’ll like it.

This is the definitive release of Grandia I (combining the best parts of both the Saturn and PS1 versions) and Grandia II (based on the original and best Dreamcast version, not the PS2 or PC ports).

Are there any differences between the Saturn and PS1 versions of Grandia? I’m glad that this collection has the Dreamcast version of Grandia II, because I heard that the PS2 version was rough.

It's a shame Grandia III and Grandia Xtreme never got remasters to be added to this collection, at least those got international releases originally so it wouldn't be too hard.

This collection should have included Grandia III as well because it seems incomplete without it. While I didn’t like it quite as much as the first two games, I still liked it enough to want to play it again.

  5. Is Xbox 360 considered retro gaming now? I still play it regularly and buy games for it occasionally although I pretty much have everything that I want for it at this point. I have a big physical game collection for it, I started buying most of what I wanted for it in the early to mid PS4/Xbox One generation because games for it were fairly cheap back then. Some games still are, but I have a lot that have gone up in price quite substantially since then.

I have Lord of the Rings: War in the North and enjoyed what I played of it back when I got it, but I didn’t finish it. It’s yet another game that I have that I plan on going back to and finishing some day.

  6. It’s about time, it only took five years. I never understood why this only came out for Switch especially considering that the first Grandia was on PS1. I gave up hope of this coming to PS4 so I recently bought the PS1 version of Grandia from the PS Store for $10 which I’m not happy about now, but I’m glad that I’ll finally be able to get this for PS4 because I’ve been wanting it ever since it originally came out back in 2019.

AA the best, I’d be sooooo bored with only AAA stuff

The thing is, not only are we going to see an increase in AA games because of the direction the industry is headed, with the introduction of Unreal 5, AA and indie games are just going to get better moving forward to the point of being indistinguishable from a lot of AAA games.

You all know that I’m the king of AA and indie games, they’re primarily what I play these days. Of course I’ll play more AAA games when I get a PS5, but AA and indie games will continue to be some of my favorites.

  8. I started playing Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, and I’m digging it. It’s a co-op third person cover shooter spin-off game in the Resident Evil series, and nothing like the main survival horror games. But I knew that going in, and I’m enjoying it for what it is. It’s a pure action shooter with you and three AI squad mates making your way through linear levels killing waves of soldiers, mobs of zombies and other RE enemies. The graphics are really good, and the gameplay is solid. It’s somewhat typical for the third person shooter genre, but still fun offering nonstop action.

    Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen - 8/10

This is one of my favorite games from the PS3/Xbox 360 generation. I’m really looking forward to playing the sequel when I get a PS5.

Deus Ex: Invisible War, maybe it was a mistake playing this after Human Revolution, but I give it a Not as Bad as I Expected/10

That’s my favorite Deus Ex game, playing as the female protagonist voiced by Lauren Bailey.

3-4 hours? I'm sure if you just rush through the game without actually reading through letters or skipping your maid duties, you can finish it that fast. I mean, you don't HAVE to read all the text the game throws at you. You can just prod the lead character for hints on where to look next.

What's the point of even playing a story-heavy mystery noir game where 70% of the plot is told through the letters and the luggage you snoop through? Steam says I have 9.5 hours in the game. I'm sure like half an hour of that is the pause screen.

This is why I can’t always trust what some reviews and people say about game lengths, because I usually find games to be longer than a lot of critics and other gamers do because I take my time playing them thoroughly.

Thanks for the impressions of this game, I’m definitely going to buy it when it’s on sale again at the PS Store. I would have bought it the last time that it was on sale had I known that it was 8-9 hours instead of 3-4.

Yeah, I beat it in like 8 or 9 hours.

That’s a lot longer than 3-4 hours like some reviews and people on Steam stated that it was. 8-9 hours is a good length for the type of game that is, so if it’s that long I will buy it sooner rather than later.
