So Senate is looking to be what, 51-49 R?

For now. There's a runoff election in georgia that could flip it to 50/50. However, I'm not sure what the majority rules are, since the Dems would still only have 48 seats (bernie and angus are independents). So it's possible that we get a 50/50 Senate but mcconnell still could do his veto fuckery and keep anything from coming to a vote? Not sure.

    Today I learned @Fizzzzleis a 20-something white-chick

I just don't like beer that much anymore, at least not enough to drink a lot of them at once. Ciders give me heartburn if I have too many. I didn't have any liquor (the liquor stores around here close at like 8pm).

I'm down with the basic white bitch gang.

Id pass out. My tolerance is pretty low for the moment. I don't smoke often. So probably will smoke at like 9-11pmish to relax and before going to sleep once we get the go ahead. I imagine camping out will be required. Probably will go with as much cash as I can get to make sure I have a healthy stash.

I rarely ever smoke, my girlfriend is a wake-and-baker every day. She can smoke/eat things that barely phase her that make me just pass out immediately.

I smoked almost 7 grams of pot, and ate 600mg of edibles last night. Normally that would las me a couple of weeks. My wife polished off a bottle of wine and relaxed in a thc/cbd bubble bath why we waited to see if the world fell apart

I took mushrooms and drank almost a 12 pack of white claws

Okay, having basically finished up the Novigrad main story missions, I can see why people call the combat too easy eventually. The level progression is also strange in that I seem to have over-leveled myself simply by doing mainly story missions by now and I'm still cleaning up Level 12 main missions at Level 16. All main missions fights have become kind of a cake walk where I just end up playing with certain abilities to see if I can get away with it.

Let's see where we go from here. About to sail to Skellige next time I play.

I don't think there has been an open world RPG that has really nailed challenge vs. character progression yet. Like, I just finished a playthrough of AC Odyssey, where every enemy levels with you, and once you hit level 50+ and every enemy is either your level or higher, while at the same time your gear is always a couple levels lower than your actual level, it starts to feel like the game is punishing you for progressing. The Elder Scrolls games are similar (Oblivion was especially bad at nerfing special equipment if you got them too early in the game)

I'm not sure what the right solution is, but I don't think anyone has figured it out yet.

-- Biden is making a 28-3 style comeback, including in Georgia

-- Trump is going to throw a shitfit

-- Pelosi, Schumer, and Nate Silver all need to be strapped down and beaten with sledgehammers

-- Weed has been legalize in more states because we all need it

What did Pelosi and Schumer do?

So some news organizations called Arizona, some haven't yet. Arizona's clear shift left, though, is amazing to see, and McSally being a two-time loser is well-deserved.

Looks like Biden picked up Nebraska's 2nd.

I wish Texas would have been a delightful surprise, but I'm still really impressed at the margin there.

I always figured that Texas would become a battleground state, but I thought it would be like... 2030, not 2020. You can even tell the way the Democrats campaigned there. It was like a couple months ago they were like "wait.... what? we can... win? in Texas? get the fuck outta here. CAMPAAAAIIIIGN!!!!!!"

I never had hope that Biden would win Texas, but the fact that it was even a question gives me hope.

  8. We always knew Biden would win the popular vote. He was already ahead before Oregon, California, Hawaii, Washington, and Nevada had started reporting a lot of their numbers. He'll probably get another million votes from California alone (they're still only at 64% reported). He'll probably get close to another million from Washington. He could end up getting 5+ million more votes than Trump and still lose. That's more than the population of Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska combined.

We're so fucking beyond fucked based on how tonight is going.

I don't know, we actually might get another relief bill passed since the republicans won (or most likely will win, it's not over yet)

They were basically saying "no stimulus talks until after the election," the election seemed to go their way, now we might get some stimulus talks. Otherwise we would have had to wait until february for anything to get done. As someone who works in the service industry and worries about his job every day, that means something. Restaurants are dying left and right. A lot of them won't make it until February without another stimulus bill. A Democrat victory basically guarantees no stimulus bill.

Is it worth the Republicans winning? No. But it is a silver lining.

I know we are all doom-scrolling and at various stages of anger and grief, but there are good results:

These are all undeniably good things that will help people's lives.

Oregon also legalized psilocybin for medicinal use, though it sounds like it really is for strictly medicinal use. Like, you have to take it under supervision.

If so, the VP, whoever that is, is going to be busy breaking ties.

The Republicans had an effective lead of 53-47 (2 independent Senators who tend to vote Democrat)

Alabama has flipped Republican. That brings it to 54-46

Colorado and Arizona (probably) have flipped Democrat. That brings it down to 52-48.

Michigan, Maine, North Carolina, and Montana are still up for grabs (I think, even though it's close, Georgia is pretty firmly Republican at this point).

Nothing to see in Georgia until the morning most likely. They literally have only 4 or 5 people still counting in Fulton.

Wisconsin has major reporting in 2-3 hours from Milwaukee that probably decides that state.

So, yeah, go to sleep. Nothing that can decide it for Biden is happening before 8a eastern.

Pennsylvania probably won't be decided until tomorrow, either

We are completely fucked now. I never imagined the Democrats would manage to not even get 51 in the Senate. I can only hope that God is merciful enough to destroy this Earth to spare us from what's coming in 2024.

You know what's fucked? It looks like Trump is going to win, and the Republicans are going to retain the Senate. But the Democrats will have won the popular vote in FIVE OF THE LAST SIX ELECTIONS, and still lost in four of them.
