Dead Island 2 is one of those that doesn’t support cloud saves btw so keep it backed up!

That game just straight up disabled cloud saves. That's wild. Save data is in a totally normal place. I haven't seen anything from the devs explaining why.

That's as obnoxious as Gamefreak disabling cloud saves for Switch Pokemon games.

I think I may have phrased that poorly, Epic most certainly does support cloud saves and they work fine. But for whatever reason it’s very hit and miss which games do or do not support it whereas with Steam it seems very rare.

Ah, I think that's probably because EGS backs up the save data when it's stored either in My Documents or AppData. Steam forces games to store their save data on one central Steam userdata folder. I'm guessing games that don't support EGS cloud saves didn't put their save data in a normal place and did something like store them in a game's own directory or something weird like that. There's probably some way to flag your save data location for EGS, but some game publishers/devs probably aren't bothering.

I used to feel this way but I’ve found myself constantly disappointed by lack of cloud save space support even in games that do have it on Steam. Until I feel it’s better there I think I’ll only buy exclusives.

Eh, I'm playing My Time in Sandrock on EGS and the cloud syncing seems to be working fine between my gaming PC and gaming laptop.

  4. I've been completely enraptured by My Time at Sandrock. I had just played through Seasons: A letter you the future on PC and enjoyed that for what it was and thought I could go for something a bit more involved and finally got around to starting A Plague Tale Requiem. Nope. A bunch of hours in and that game is great, but it's WAY too stressful for what I need in my life right now. I figured a good farming/life sim was what I needed and I grabbed Sandrock on EGS for like $20.

This game is adorable. It's really easy to lose track of time in this world, and that's how I put the kids to bed at 9 and then accidently played until nearly 3am. Gonna be really fun getting up to make the kids breakfast.

  5. Not that much better than yesterday.

  8. Aside from YouTube, which I think absolutely deserves its pricey no-ads subscription, Crunchyroll and Dropout are the only two services I have that always had at least one new something I want to watch every week, all year long. Those three are the only constants. Everything else is binge for a few months and then ignored for most of the rest of the year.

Give me One Punch Man season 3, you cowards!

Season 3 should already be in production. We just don't have a release date. It was announced back in 22, so we should get some more news later this year. It's rare for an anime to get announced and then get no news for a couple of years unless there are serious production woes.

  10. I don't know why I guessed that before answer

  11. The fall anime season was pretty damn good. I think my favorite was Pluto on Netflix. Seriously, you all should go watch that. Everyone was stuck on Scott P:ilgrim they missed the other best anime of the season, also on Netflix.

Let's see what we have coming next year...

Solo Leveling is probably the most hotly anticipated. I really wish more Korean webtoons were animated. I can think of a dozen that I think would make for absolutely sublime anime and Solo Leveling is one of them.

We've got more Mashle coming our way...

Chained Soldier is one of those "Japan, are you OK?" anime. Shocked this one is even getting an anime.

Speaking of anime I didn't think would ever be made. Gushing over Magical Girels about a magical girl that discovers she has a kink for torturing magical girls?

Let's get back to the world of the tame. Netflix is doing a simulcast for the latest entry in the weirdly crowded cooking isekai subgenre with Delicious in Dungeon...

What the? We're actually getting more Blue Exorcist? We really doing the whole 6-7 years between seasons, aren't we?

Speaking of a blue moon. Every few years Bones gets to step away from like My Hero Academia and Bungo Stray Dogs and do whatever they want. Last time around they gave us Carole & Tuesday and SK8 the Infinity. This time around we're getting Metallic Rouge...

I've been looking forward to The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic because the premise is so dumb, I love it. My question: Does healing magic rewind injuries or speed up recovery? If it's the latter, I can totally buy using healing magic to get swole...

I guess I should include some romcom here, even if this season doesn't have anything that really piques my interest. There is Hokkaido Gals are Super Adorable...

A Sign of Affection looks a little more mature, but seems to lean more toward the romance side of the genre. Why is it always the girls with a handicap in these?

Eh...Season seems, fine-ish. Nothing really standing out, but that usually seems to be the case with the winter season.
