This is now out on Netflix. I'm one episode on and this is an absolute speed run of the series. Judging from the episode summaries, seems they plan to cover the first 25 episodes of the anime in 5 episodes. Granted, these 5 are twice as long as an anime episode, so it's really something like 5 hours of this series versus 10 of the anime.

Rushing through things aside, this is actually pretty successful so far. Let's see if it remains that way the further in I get. Yusuke is a likable asshole one episode in, so they managed to get that much right fairly quickly.

Time to get into that Christmas spirit.

My main gaming PC has 4TB of NVMe, my Switch has a 512GB card, my laptop has a 1TB NVMe, and my server has 24TB of 15k drives...well, 24TB after the RAID.

My son's PC has 512GB+1TB. I'm in the middle of building him a Minecraft server. It has a mirrored 1TB NVMe along with 4x4TB SSD SAS drives. I just need to figure out if I want to go Windows or Linux on this server. I'm thinking Linux right now. He's been bugging me about all the mods he wants to try out and I just happened to have a spare Xeon workstation with with like 256GB of RAM.

I've had an incredible blast with the game. I'm at that point in it where I haven't played in a couple of weeks only because I have little else left to do other than go beyond the point of no return. I'm pretty happy I waited to play until Phantom Liberty. Not sure I would have come back just to play this had I first played when the game came out.

I remember, maybe even on these boards sad well, people arguing Nintendo didn't know what they were doing pulling out of E3. It just made too much sense. There's no reason for these huge marketing machines to be sharing the spotlight with anybody. Nowadays even the smaller indie devs are working together to put on their own presentations.

E3 could definitely have survived if they had pivoted a decade ago into being the Comic-Con for games, but they couldn't bring themselves to do it.

I'm also kind of excited for the Jurassic Park Survival game, but I have to admit the whole "i was left on the island" angle kinda bugged me, especially since they're showing that it took place immediately after the first movie. Like, where was she while the entire movie was happening? Did she sleep through that shit? Was she left behind by the final boat during the storm, or the helicopter that rescued Grant, Ellie, etc.? Because technically that would mean she got left twice. Don't count on this chick to be on time for literally anything.

I'll be indescribably disappointed if that game doesn't end with her sailing off the island screaming "Fuck you, Dr Grant!".
