Texas Governor Adds Backup Prayer System To State Electricity Grid
WWW.THEONION.COMAUSTIN, TX—Addressing the life-threatening heat dome that has settled over Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott (R) announced Thursday that a backup prayer system had been added to the state electricity grid. “To prevent the deadly outages we’ve experienced over the last few...Great synergy.
When prayer power is ineffectual they can repurpose the circles to give thoughts and prayers to the dead.

I feel like the only thing that could alter this from being a vain exercise of ego by the ultra privileged is if the rules state it is to the death.

Donald Trump is entertaining in the way that a toddler with a loaded gun in a crowded mall is "entertaining".

no that was shortly after the 1st debateCorrect.
It is easy to remember because one of those things I am convinced Trump absolutely did but which you could probably never prove without a magic 8 ball is that Trump knew or at least suspected he had Covid when he stepped on that debate stage with Biden and was hoping to give it to him.

Exclusive: Donald Trump admits on tape he didn't declassify 'secret information' | CNN Politics
WWW.CNN.COMFormer President Donald Trump acknowledged on tape in a 2021 meeting that he had retained “secret” military information that he had not declassified, according to a...Lol. Dumber than shit.
Gentlemen, start your edging.
Only Trump could offer a quote as perfect as....
"This is secret information. Look, look at this."

So, not surprisingly, this is how well the meeting apparently went today for Trump.
I am not going to post what he said because the meat of it is a Tweet responding to a copied Truth Social post(so a true social media shit sandwich) but you can zip over to the link to see or just use your imagination.
You know how it goes. Trump is MAD! And using lots of CAPS to get his point across....his point being a string of nonstop lies...the one valuable take away being that the impetus for him making a statement at all is most likely that Smith and the DOJ weren't saying anything Trump and his little trained minions were happy to hear.

Smith: Why shouldn't we charge him?

Has anyone else noticed lately that Trump's combover is spending a lot of time in Wolverine-ish territory nowadays?
Looks like a low energy remake of Logan.

Hours after The Atlantic dropped a lengthy and not-so-positive profile on Chris Licht, Puck News reported that the CNN CEO has told employees he’s no longer tasked with managing the business operations at the company. It was this past Wednesday when Licht claimed that “he would be ceding control of all business operations to David Leavy, the chief corporate affairs officer at Warner Bros. Discovery and a longtime member of the [David] Zaslav braintrust,” the publication noted. According to the report, the decision to move Licht away from the financial matters was an “unequivocal vote of diminishing confidence by the parentco in Licht’s ability to manage a business.” Notably, since Licht has taken over, CNN has suffered to pull in big cable ratings.

There is a big difference between the GOP "elite class"(politicians, media, donors, etc) and the GOP base.
I would loosely divide the GOP into three groups. The Never Trumpers, the Maga diehards, and the squishy Middle that don't want Trump but will not say a peep against him publicly in fear of being steamrolled.
The GOP elite is largely the Middle. The base is largely MAGA.
If you had a mind reading poll of Congress, the number of Republicans who want the DOJ or a state AG to make the Trump problem magically go away would probably be higher than Democrats.

Legal expert expects 'Espionage Act charges' after Trump reportedly told staff to move documents - Raw Story - Celebrating 19 Years of Independent Journalism
WWW.RAWSTORY.COMThe Washington Post revealed Thursday that the day prior to the execution of a search warrant at Mar-a-Lago, former President Donald Trump told his staff to move the documents the FBI were seeking. The report has prompted legal experts to anticipate Espionage charges will be filed against the Republ...
He had dress rehearsals with staff for moving the documents at Marashithole and into a SUV for Bedminster. He is such a corrupt asshole and I hope they take a look at his wife’s burial site. This was a case were I initially fell into the "dumb Trump" defense trap. When the the raid happened and we got the preliminary facts I figured it was legitimately a case of the moron not knowing what he could and couldn't take.
But the longer things have went on, it just looks more and more malicious. I remember a couple months back someone on here posted a video of an interview he did where he volunteered the idea that they paid one of the other presidents to return certain documents and it was one of those "holy shit, it really is the worst case scenario" moments for me. The fact that was on his mind and he throws it out there apropos of nothing in an interview really does suggest that was his state of mind. He took the docs to fucking sell them back(or maybe even sell the secrets).
He really is the type of sociopathic rich person that would ruin someone's life to make 10 bucks and then proudly brag about it for the next 5 years.

Pretty sure this is the same case where the defense team argued that all the good work Rhodes did for a volunteer organization should count towards his good character that deserved leniency from the court.
That volunteer organization was the Oath Keepers.
Judge: Mr. Rhodes, you attempted to violently overthrow the American government that has persisted for nearly 250 years. Before your sentence is carried out do you have anything to say for yourself?
Rhodes: You're welcome.

Luckily we haven't had any recent major global events that illustrated how woefully inadequate our hospital system is at handling a large, unexpected influx of patients.
Arizona will probably respond to this by passing a new law that opens medical staff to legal liability or jail time if they help woman obtain birth control.

The original picture looks like a 19 year whose siblings keep mysteriously dying from "crib death" cause he sneaks into their room at night and stares motionlessly at them for 4 hours before smothering them with a pillow.

The entire Arrowverse has felt like a mess since the multiverse crossover. Arrow ended, Flash was already declining, and Supergirl was all over the place. Then they had the big crossover which was a pretty good finale for Arrow, but that was only 8 episodes into the season for the other shows so they had to continue their seasons and after the crossover their stories for the rest of the season felt like worrying about a fire cracker after a nuclear bomb had went off.
Then to top it off the pandemic happened and goofed of the end of the season.
Some of it too was also that I had the benefit of binging the earlier seasons on Netflix, but by the time I got to those seasons I was trying to keep up on the CW channel. And it wasn't interesting enough to keep me hooked so I would try to go back to it after a while and miss episodes because only 6 were up at a time.
At a certain point I just said screw it and threw in the towel and decided I would wait until Flash was done and go through Arrow, Flash, Legends, and Supergirl again all at once.
Maybe the weaker later seasons will be more palatable when I can binge them.
One of the best action movies is finally getting a sequel!

Commando is one of my all time guilty pleasure movies. 100% the enjoyment I get out of it is all the fact that I watched it when I was a kid and have a soft spot for it. It is dumb, cheesey, over the top, paper thin plot, and I absolutely love it.
They should have used the shot where Arnold is just nonchalantly carrying around an entire fucking tree
