As I said previously its pretty clear to me killing civilians now is part of the strategy because they are desperate. The Russian advance is falling apart and reinforcements are not coming.

To me its pretty clear the Russian strategy is to keep killing civlian in an effor to get Zelenskyy to surrender.

They still have a role but they are very situational and require lots of support. On flat wide open hard ground where infantry can't hide and there is infantry/air/drone support they can move very quickly over the battlefield and provide lots of support firepower. But they are very much niche otherwise and the military should be focusing on light fast moving vehicles, light artilery and drones.

I think that has yet to be seen. You can't brute force through anything if you don't have the capablities to get your shit where it needs to be. And with western weapons and intelligence I think it will be very difficult for them to hold any territory they take especially with a hostile population. Its one thing to take territory its another to keep it. And while the Russian military looks massive on paper, with the corruption and lack of basic maintenance of vehicles I don't think they can just activate the rest of their military. It will take them months to years to get the full brunt of their military operational and in the meantime their troops and equipment are going to get meat grindered and sanctions are going to crush their ability to pay for things.

Thats one thing that the US absoutely destroys every country at by multiple orders of magnitude is logistics.

I do think it is possible that some kind of resolution happens as long as we find a way to let Putin save face.
