Xbob42
Oh, shit. I saw the store page a few days ago and it had "20xx" as the release date so I just kind of assumed it would be a while. Neat!

I'm actually curious based on the general idea but the gameplay does look fucking rough. Wondering if it was at least serviceable in previous game(s?) I played and enjoyed the first game, but it was definitely very rough. It was enjoyable in the beginning for some unintentional humor (like kids playing a clapping game and it ends with one smacking the everloving shit out of the other, which in of itself is obviously supposed to be kind of funny, but it's like a HUGE fucking slap) and then later on for the more unusual horror elements I wasn't familiar with. Kind of like when you first start seeing Japanese horror and it's really interesting and seems super unique, before realizing that it's all the same folklore and origin and it kind of loses it magic... like many things with anime and Japanese games, actually. Huh. Anyway, it's not terrible or anything, but it'd be tough to recommend anyone actually buying the first game unless it looked interesting to them. The second one seems to be a lot more polished and less amateurish.

The combat looks like dog shit but I mean, I love Silent Hill so I can't really talk.
Xbob42
RE2 and RE7 have finally proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that you don't need shitty combat for horror games to be effective but still fun. So I wonder if I'll have more trouble with this one in a post RE2/7 world.
