They’re in a lot better spot that they would be had they not changed it, and for long term success they are arguably set up the best of the major console makers. Buying their stuff on steam is a fine outcome for them. Now that Sony is on board with their major titles, I might not buy another non-Nintendo console again, and Sony doesn’t have near the service-level infrastructure to survive if people fizzle on buying physical PlayStations.
