My copies of both games came in just before the weekend! I think that's the fastest turn-around I've seen from Limited Run. Crazy. I have yet to play either of them, but once work settles down, I'll give 'em a spin.
I do enjoy Scott the Woz so I'll give the video a look as well...!

I dunno, Kyle. I like 'Back To The Future: Part 2.' It's not a bad movie.

Fighting games are great for “pick-up-and-play” sessions since they don’t wallow in dialogue and needless wandering around to find the next story beat. It’s pretty much just straight to gameplay. Even those with story modes have relatively short scenes between you actually playing.
I appreciate them specifically because how well you do is entirely dependent on your own skills. Not if you’ve leveled up enough, got the best weapon, or if your teammate bailed you out of a tight spot. It’s quite visceral. Sadly, most gamers can’t hang.

As I've said often whenever this topic comes up, I was LEGENDARY in the local arcades at Samurai Shodown and Virtua Fighter 2. Like 20 wins on one quarter good. I still buy most of the fighting games that come out. I just don't play them that much anymore.

Sorry @GameDadGrant
Nintendo can change that image by releasing a Switch Pro along with BOTW2 and Metroid Prime 4.
Like A Dragon Producer Is Hesistant To Bring Yakuza Games To Nintendo Switch - GameSpot
WWW.GAMESPOT.COMThe wholesome image that the Switch currently projects clashes with the underground attitude of the Yakuza series according to executive producer Masayoshi Yokoyama.Pfft. It's coming to Steam, so if I played games like this, I'd just play it on my Deck!
Weird excuse by the developer not to put it on Switch. But no big deal, I'm not mad.

Yeah it's pretty good on PC. I remember they fixed some of the day one gripes like mouse controls for the camera. I did not play the Wii U version I never owned a Wii-U and my friends that did did not have Fatal Frame for it.
That’s fair. I’m in a very acute minority of people that actually bothered to get the game for Wii U. (Hey, if I got a 2TB external hard drive, I’m gonna make sure I make good use of it, damn it! ) -

I remember that you can play it without a gameboy cartridge, but, iirc, the Pokemon selection without a gb cart was super limited.
I honestly don’t remember what the PKMN selection was out of the “stable” pre-loaded on the cart. I would assume some legendaries like Mewtwo and the like aren’t available. But most are, I believe? The real disappointing thing is, (even if they gave you ALL the Pokémon to choose from) you can’t choose their move set. Whatever load out the game has, that’s what you’re stuck with. And of course, their stats are pre-determined as well. No customization whatsoever. Which gets rid of, what I would consider, the most important and vital aspect of Pokémon.
The silver lining is, I suppose, is that this levels the playing field for head-to-head versus mode. You can’t just roll in with the team you’ve been building in the GB game for hours and hours on end and just wreck house against the stock Stadium creatures your friend might have to choose from. Now you actually have to be strategic about who you choose and what stats and moves the various monsters have.
I’m starting to sound like a Pokémon Stadium apologist at this point, though.

I played the PC version (you remember they re-released this last year) that version is probably the version most people played.
Oh yes I remember. Is it good on PC? Or mostly the same as Wii U? Did you play the Wii U version? -

Aren't the Pokemon Stadium games kinda useless without the Gameboy adapter thing that let you load your pokemon from saves?
I was thinking that, too. But then I remembered that there are a lot of different modes and mini-games that were - at least back in the day - a lot of fun to play. But yeah, I think the main "hook" of the game is pretty much lost without the Game Boy games and the Transfer Pak.

Yes it's that one. Really loved Maiden of Black Water (need to finish) should be good.
Hmm, you liked Maiden of Black Water? What version did you play?
I played on Wii U, but never finished. Wonder if the re-release is any better...?

Is this the Fatal Frame game that was originally on Wii? And never localized?

Golf was always one of the better Wii Sports offerings, so this is a welcome addition. Not sure why it wasn't in there at the beginning, but whatevs.

Hot Shots, Everybody's Golf, now Easy Come, Easy Golf?!?

Final Fantasy Theatrhythm Final Bar Line was the only thing interesting.
I'm equal parts excited and revolted about this announcement. On one hand, I'm super happy this series is making a return. On the other? They are clearly holding back songs to sell us later as DLC. *Preeeeetty* sure the songs are already complete, but S-E is gonna fleece us and make us buy 'em separately. That doesn't sit well.

Kinda surprised Castlevania: Symphony of the Night isn’t on Steam. Bummer.

I downloaded a game a buddy made. It's called In Retrospect and it's pretty fun. Put some time into that a lot recently. The Deck seems to be a good fit for Indie Games.

Kinda surprised he didn't have the Fire Emblem Awakening 3DS, or the Monster Hunter 4 ULTIMATE NEW 3DSXL. Those are two of the best, IMO. But of course the absolute best is the NEW 3DS with interchangeable faceplates. IMO, of course.
