Yeah without any context to how any of that stuff relates to Din it just feels like a storyline from a different Star Wars show. So at the moment I’m just using a bit of faith that what we saw this episode will pay off and involve Din by the end of the season.

I mean, I feel like it's obvious the remnants of The Empire aren't done with their attempts at cloning Palpatine, which we already know heavily involves Grogu. The connection to the overarching story feels fairly obvious to me, even if we're still waiting on seeing exactly where it's going. With my guess being a mind-wiped Pershing is going to be more malleable and useful than a Pershing that has genuinely divested from The Empire and is trying to do the right thing going forward.

My dog is dying to cancer and my ex-wife is done with me.

Gotta decide if i'd rather have had cancer in place of Corey or to avoid living this day. Probably a mix of both.

Hang in there, friend. Remember to reach out to friends and loved ones if you're feeling low, and there's no shame in seeking professional help if you don't already have a therapist.

Well, everyone is talking about Trump again and he probably made a bunch of money so...

If this truly was a shtick, then I hope he keeps it up. He'll have people burned out on 'THEY'RE COMING TO ARREST ME' conspiracies by primaries. The reason similar conspiracies, including the constant 'IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO ME ITS CAUSE HILLARY DRONE STRIKED ME IN MY SLEEP!' worked in 2016 is because they were all condensed into the 4-5 months leading into the election when tensions were highest.

The ironic part would be that strategy being more likely to lead to WW3 as things coming out of Russia were straight bonkers like re-establishing the Russian/Soviet empire, with their military getting depleted by just handing Ukraine some artillery and AA systems that dream is dead.

Everything that man did lead us closer to WWIII. Never forget that the pandemic quickly snuffed out a major conflict between us an Iran that he initiated early 2020.

Man, it’s really insane to think about the War in Ukraine if Trump was still president. It’s not crazy to think we’d be sending weapons to Russia instead, right?

He'd probably turn a blind eye, all the while having his minions all say how anti-war he is, and isn't it great to have an anti-war president, cause isn't that what everyone wanted. He, himself, would probably be making constant comments of how smart Putin/Russia are, and in the same sentence deny the invasion is happening while also claiming it's Ukraine's fault for occupying Russian land in the first place.

The Destiny community was so active in honor of Lance's memory all weekend, truly a sight to behold. In lieu of diving deep into that, I instead opted to watch the whole Wick trilogy again ahead of seeing the 4th this weekend. Still can't believe he's gone.

I'm deep into the FFXIV community, and the more I ruminate on Lance's passing the more I can't help but imagine the inevitable passing of any of the beloved voice actors from XIV. Or, the Twelve forbid, Yoshi-P. My heart breaks for many in the community, doubly so given he seemed to actively play the game himself.

Really selling short how much work these assholes put into overturning the democratic order

By not laughing at today's protest outside Turd tower and pointing out how scary tomorrow might be?

I assure you, I'm not selling anything short. Especially pointing out just how organized Jan 6th was, which got to its level because of the massive amount of work put into organizing and rallying people for the single day.

I had plenty of problems with Obama but Trump made me realize how much I value not having to constantly worry about what my government is doing.

The only solace was he took every single weekend off, so news usually died for two days on a consistent basis. There were some weeks when things would be so crazy I'd just count down the days until Friday evening hit and the new cycle would go to sleep for 48 hours.

Lol, there was a pro-Trump rally in New York today and there were more reporters covering it than actual attendees.

I'm less interested in the ones jumping the gun and rabble-rousing around New York today, and more interested in the ones quietly waiting in their hotels for the big show tomorrow. Granted I still don't think we'll see January 6th numbers tomorrow, this is way less organized and the tension isn't quite there like it was before. But that doesn't mean dangerous stuff might not happen tomorrow. All it takes is one crazy person, and given the last-minute nature of all this the ones that do show up will probably be the crazy of the crazy.

I could take John Adams, for sure.

George Washington not so much. He was a big dude with extra Chad energy and may have allegedly kind of started the Seven Years War, I'm sure he could throw hands.

Safe bets. You never mess with George Washington, that's rule number 1 of founding fathers, but also John Adams seems the type to squeal and fall to the ground at the first sign of physical conflict.

Says the one fucking guy that has to ask for a perception check after EVERY FUCKING SENTENCE

If my players ever ask if they can roll [insert skill] I gently remind them that I will ask for any rolls if needed, and they simply need to let me know what they want to do and I'll determine if it requires a roll.  If they ask to roll [insert skill], immediately roll their dice before I can answer, and then shout at me the result and expect me to respond then I gently remind them with an open palm across the face to not do that.

it’s just awkward if people wake up one day and all of the sudden all the worlds problems are because of some dude you never heard of.

I mean, that's kinda how it happened with Soros. I doubt most people screeching his name 24/7 could tell you who he was pre-2016 election cycle. Bigots have no qualms just picking a name out of a hat and running with it so long as enough other people are running alongside with them.
