  1. The City Of The Living Dead 4k

One of my favorite Italian horror "films", and I use the term "film" loosely as because its more of a series slightly interconnected scenes. A priest hangs himself in graveyard causing the dead to rise. These arnt your typical zombies though , they can teleport around. The film feels like it was made by an AI that doesnt actually understand human beings or how reality works. Case in point , women dies and while getting buried she comes back to life and everyone is like Say What Dunno GIF - Say What Dunno Shrug - Discover & Share ...

    "lets go on road trip!!"

And the scenes get weirder and weirder and everyone is walking around on 2 bars of Xanax. One scene has a women call over a friend because there is a corpse that was buried earlier now laying in her kitchen. Friend shows up and is like "yup she was dead earlier today"  Later on the now walking dead has gotten up and is somewhere else in the house and her friend says "cant be her , shes dead".

Fabio Frizzi score is absolute perfection

The gore is top notch and so over the top its almost self aware .

  2. Its become some fucked up badge of honor for Devs run a game into the ground for some shitty bullet point on completion time. " New and improved with over 9000 hours of gameplay" . Only 20 of that is any good with other 8,980  being the most milquetoast generic ass fetch , deliver, flip a switch , climb a tower side quests. If you can skip them and just get to the good part I am fine with it but when I got run to the bottom of some barren cave and punch a fairy in his balls because the game gatekeeps the story behind levels and you cant level up unless you collect 20 sets fairy testicles , then I have a problem.

Prior to that, he was most known for being the man who "broke" the British pound and the Bank of England.

Black Wednesday is known as the day that George Soros bet against the British pound, leading to one of the most catastrophic financial events in modern history

He really is the perfect super villain for Right Wing Nutters

    Ultra Wealthy

    Bank Buster

    Left Wing

    Super Jew.

If tomorrow it was reported that he or someone close to him was a drag queen, Tucker Carlson might self immolate on air.

  4. As morbid as this sounds but if you wanna remove guns from the population you need wholesale unfettered gun violence committed against the entire political spectrum of those in charge. The people making the decisions are so disconnected from the reality the rest of us live in, all of this may as well be a reality show they watch and giggle at. Nothing will change for them until they are staring at the wrong end of the barrel and even then there will be politicians burying family members asking "where was the good guy with a gun?".

  5.

Great Ambient synth album, the longer it goes the more you get drawn in.

Not the biggest fan of core but this pretty good

One of my new favorites. The band refers to it as " garage black metal". Black tends to be very one note and if its recorded through one of these

it can be a turn off. This has just enough lo fi quality but not shit quality recording and its not all blast beats or frozen tundra atmo thats been done to death. It does have the BM raspy vocals.

    Crusty black/punk

Another new favorite. Its oppressive at times , not Primitive Man levels of oppressive but just enough that it doesnt wear out its welcome.

  6. Kubo And The Two Strings - Blu ray 4k

A blind buy for me that was a fantastic surprise. The writing is a bit behind your typical Disney/Pixar flick but the stop motion animation is leagues better than anything they have put out. The story is about a young boy named Kubo who goes on a quest to get his fathers sword and armor so he can defeat the moon god. Along the way he meets Monkey( VA by Charlize Theron) and Beetle ( VA Matthew McConaughey ) who help him. Kubo isnt powerless though with the aid of his shamisen (guitar) he is able to give life to paper essentially bringing Origami to life. Theron and McConaughey VA could have been an absolute disaster but instead they knock it out of the park. While I didnt think it stuck the landing it was still a damn good film.

    Rogue One - Disney+

A rewatch but one that was long overdue. Of all the prequels and sequels this feels like the cream of the crop and the most adult to boot. I had really wished that Disney would expand out more and deal with more fringe characters in their films.

The Andromeda Strain - Blu Ray

1970 Sci Fi about a small town that get wiped out over night by a meteorite. Its a very procedural film that puts the focus on a group of scientist trying to discover what happened. Obviously its dated in many ways and it lacks a action hero type adventure and some might be turned off by that.

It falls into the category of "Saturday Afternoon Flick".

  7. As a fan of the game I think the transformation from game to tv series was very well done. Its a solid 8/10 for me. My biggest issues with it was that lacked the brutality that was a staple of the game. The level of violence that Joel (videogame) has to commit to complete his task feels Herculean compared to Joel (TV). I think it adds to the relationship between the two that the TV series loses. We see glimpses of some penchant for violence in Joel (TV) but its mostly hinted at. My wife on the hand thought the series was a 9. Her only issue was she felt the last 2 episodes felt rushed.

  8. I love vinyl. It sounds pretentious but there  is something wonderful in the ritual of thumbing through my collection , having something jump out at me, get it set up and listening to it. It also allows me to directly fund my favorite bands. The secondary market is getting out of hand though, several of the record stores i used to dig through once week got super greedy. They were treating them like speculative investments sometimes at double or triple the actual cost.
