  1. I think some people you come across on forums have super shitty, miserable lives offline. Some are literally suicidally depressed most of the time (I've been there myself) and come here for some tiny bit of escapist shallow happiness. Some people go years and years or their entire adult lives without ever experiencing any human intimacy at all. I can't even imagine how horrible that would be but anyone going through any of this has my sympathy and I wish the world was better.

  2. I had to have one cut out. I went to urgent care and the Dr there told me it would have to be cut. He said I could set up an appointment for it or he could just do it right there. He got a nurse (she happened to be incredibly hot, which made this all so, so much worse) and had me lie on my side in the fetal position and the nurse held open my ass cheeks while he cut the hemorrhoid open and removed it. One of the worst experiences of my life. Slightly eclipsed by my next pooping experience, but at least that was private.

My wife has had an i7 Yoga for ~4yr without an issue. I don't see others built like hers tho. The hinge seems cheaper on the website/modern versions.

The overall design of the Yoga was really good. It's sturdy and hasn't gotten loose or anything. No physical problems. The touch screen just went out for no reason. It seems to be a software issue, but there's no fix. There were a ton of threads full of what seemed like thousands of users with the same problem. Lenovo reps came into the threads and recommended standard trouble shooting fixes but none worked and they eventually just started ignoring and locking threads about the issue. Still no fix and it's been a few years.

Nice! I'm looking at getting maybe a Lenovo Yoga, Microsoft Surface or iPad Pro soon, not sure which will be my best solution. I want something very portable where I can mainly use for personal finance, but also do some emails/slack/notes/feedback for work away from my desk. I want a lot of battery life so.. I'm not sure where I'm going yet. I'm thinking the iPad pro with keyboard but I'm afraid of Apple products.

I recommend staying away from the Yoga. I had one and the touch screen stopped working on it within the first couple months. Lenovo wouldn't do anything for me. They offered to repair it but I checked online forums and a ton of people who repaired laptops ended up with far more issues than they started with so I just dealt with it. Recently I bought the HP Spectre x360 and absolutely love it so much more than the Yoga.

I just came here to post this actually, I finally remembered to buy it and saw that Ghost Giant which looks like it might be the star of the bundle sold out of keys. Apparently they will get more and add it to your account, but I still bought it as even if that does not happen it’s a great deal.

For people too lazy to click the link, it’s at least 7 (likely will be 8) Quest games for $15, though one is more an experience sorta thing and another more of an art program. Still, overall the best deal I’ve seen on Quest games yet and I’m always down to try new VR stuff for cheap.

I picked it up too. Too good of a deal to pass up
