Enable Moonlight streaming from your PC over the Internet with no configuration required - moonlight-stream/Internet-Hosting-Tool

Id try this, then try with hardware accelerated gpu scheduler turned off (tho this works for me now, I think they fixed it around the release of dlss3 since it’s needed) and then if still not working right check if maybe firewall/password keeper/vpn/antivirus could be blocking.

Oh shit yeah that's a good call. I did just set up a new antivirus. Is that git link for Moonlight different from the one in the discover app on Steam Deck desktop?

Well shit! Still using those eh? Any new experiences/use cases with them?

One of the arms snapped but I fixed it with electrical tape and it works like a charm. I use it for almost all my gaming and media watching still. I don’t envision myself ever buying another TV or monitor again.

This is the very first model to come out and it’s already pretty great with 1080p and good colors/black at 60fps. There are several competitors coming out too so the future looks pretty bright for this tech.

Say whaaaaatttttttttttt. A huge reason I love buying on pc is the advantage of using moonlight for near native looking/feeling remote play whereas ps5 is a huge sacrifice when doing remote play in comparison.

You aren’t using steam remote play are you?

Yeah I haven’t tried moonlight on it yet. I’ll have to give that a shot. The PS5 remote play works really well now with Chiaki

I have a dock that I use to charge the deck while using a nvme usbc stick, I wonder if that would work for that purpose.

The real problem is the staff will be able to see you are watching porn in the reflections when you are on an airplane trying to get a little under the blanket relief going.

This looks very cool! I’ll need to read more what it can do on the mobile, portable end. Can you actually walk with these like on the street and get map overlays?

Definitely would love to try them just to get a glimpse of the technology, but they will have to be on the gadget list after the 4080 now.

And yeah, I just haven’t been on discord really in awhile. I kinda migrated back to just posting here more.

Unfortunately these are really only practical for at home use and seated situations like on a plane (though, yeah, porn is a bad idea since people can technically see the tiny reflections if they really look lol), but I can use them while doing stuff around my place. I cleaned the kitchen and did the dishes yesterday while watching Netflix and that was fantastic. You could use them outside I guess but it’s super distracting the screen takes up a lot of space.

By the way, for cell phones, I don’t think these work with iPhone yet without an adapter (that the dev is releasing on US Amazon soon). But they’re amazing on Android because of Samsung Dex. Samsung Dex with these glasses is wonderful. It basically turns your phone into a computer and you can open all the apps in it while turning your phone’s screen black and using it as a touchpad. It’s the main way I use them when I’m not on steamdeck.

Another detail about them is that the manufacturer is super responsive to the Reddit community on the Nreal sub. They’ve already made a number of changes based on feedback they’ve gotten on there and they usually respond quickly to questions.

  5. The factor that pushed me over on buying it was that when it’s plugged into the Steam Deck, it supposedly makes the battery last even longer than normal because the Steam Deck screen goes black and the screens on the glasses are so small that they actually use less battery than the normal screen does. Unfortunately the biggest draw back with these glasses is that there’s no neat solution for charging the Steam Deck while using it. People have workarounds but they involve expensive docking stations. But when you have it plugged into a phone you can wirelessly charge the phone and you can also use it with a normal PC so long as it has a display port USB C slot

That’s too bad, it did look pretty early access from what I’ve read though yeah. I might like something like this in vr, but if it let me solo the whole thing and only engage with others if I felt like it. Not sure if you can do that here, but it seems like if you did, it wouldn’t be very fun yet.

I don’t know why we get so few new releases that are like single player action adventure games with a story. I want more of those. Give us more ps2/gc ports if that’s what it takes I guess. Like just LOAD me up with 3D plaformers on quest with gamecube quality graphics. I’ll buy them all day long if they just made them.

Yeah, I agree. Fwiw, Zenith is like how you describe. You don't have to group with anyone but you'll find people doing quests or dungeon areas that you need to do and you can just jump in and fight alongside them without having to communicate with them at all or you can solo and ignore other people.
