EA needs to buy a successful hit, milk the fuck out of it, expand, rebrand every studio the same name. Promote the studio heads to executive positions thinking they are responsible for the team's success, milk milk milk, politics, executive game of thrones, layoff the team, blame them. Blame the franchise. Sign deals with licensed products, let same bad execs make it expensive and dumb. Layoff the team again, declare your love for original IP. Repeat.

I worked at a place that was full bright overhead lights, open floor plan, and mood music playing loudly for executive vibes on the floor (not the offices), if it wasn't music it was movies, do you know how hard it is to focus on tedious tasks when Batman is screaming "pray to me!!" blowing out your ears daily. It was super miserable to focus on anything.

More layoffs happened at Activision on Monday. Don't know the numbers but individual announcements are popping up online from people looking for work. An internal recruiter said 200, but even they don't know. Maybe it's old data tricking out.
