Cost of labor is probably one of the largest reasons. I have a friend that works in the NY Subway driving a fucken bobcat around cleaning up trash from maintenance crews and he makes about 15 grand a month.

 Obviously (if there is) a public statement from Fairfax, it would be how he's troubled/disturbed by the racist images, this isn't the man I know and have worked with, and (this is the risky part) not wanting to rush to judgement, call for a full investigation because something like this is so out of character with the man I know. Something like that. Calling for his head publicly this quickly runs the risk of his popularity floundering, as he has the most to gain by northam resigning. You have left out the part that explains politicians only give a shit about attaining more power and Fairfax is already salivating at the thought of this guy resigning. He is planning his future campaign already.

He must have confirmed through the night that the other person in the photo is now deceased and cannot show up on the news saying it was him. Also probably verified that the actual photographer is dead as well. This is the only thing that explains him going full retard right now.
