    A lot of that is just the problem with any kind of infrastructure building in the US. We are higher in costs, sometimes by an order of magnitude, per km of transit or road construction when compared to other oecd countries. This should be fully investigated but isn't for whatever reason.

    @Jason

    Cost of labor is probably one of the largest reasons. I have a friend that works in the NY Subway driving a fucken bobcat around cleaning up trash from maintenance crews and he makes about 15 grand a month.

    The law allows Christian clergy and ONLY Christian clergy.

    The law allows for only state employees to be in there. They have no muslim dude as a state employee. The guy had to stay in the viewing area. Did you read all the stuff from the case? It clearly states that in all the opinions.

     Thinking on it, he probably won't put too much pressure on him directly, but have others in the black community push northam. That way he's not alienating northam supporters. That's probably the real best course of action.

     Obviously (if there is) a public statement from Fairfax, it would be how he's troubled/disturbed by the racist images, this isn't the man I know and have worked with, and (this is the risky part) not wanting to rush to judgement, call for a full investigation because something like this is so out of character with the man I know. Something like that. Calling for his head publicly this quickly runs the risk of his popularity floundering, as he has the most to gain by northam resigning. It's a narrow, difficult path now that northam isn't backing down  immediately.

    You have left out the part that explains politicians only give a shit about attaining more power and Fairfax is already salivating at the thought of this guy resigning. He is planning his future campaign already.
