I'm not mad at the Republicans for lying anymore, I'm mad at the media for a) not calling them out and b) chiding anyone who does.

Are you upset at the fact that the media in this case left all the positive results from the survey out, like firms having to raise wages, the result in decrease in capital spending is because most companies had already built what they were planning last year, or the fact that firms are hiring and redirecting more jobs back to the states. Or what about the fact that this survey only covers 106 businesses. Who are these businesses?

They listed percentages of respondents to the survey, but why not how many places actually took the survey? There are like 3000 businesses in the NABE. Why did they only survey 106?

At face value this looks pretty bad but that's what Weber is trying to accomplish with this propaganda. Pretty much every kid in the audience is wearing full black clothing and some are painted in black. A few seconds later they get get switched out with everyone wearing blue, then white, then later red. It's a school spirit thing, a way to rile up the opposing team. It has nothing to do with race.

School spirit must have gotten intense over the years. There was no fucken way I was going to bring extra clothes just for a different color when I was in school.  what I came in is what was going to be on me for the duration. What a chore to change clothes while watching a basketball game.  I am sounding like Howard Stern now.

Welcome to creepy sports school spirit stuff. They don’t even have an original nickname (Covington Crazies is lifted from the Duke Cameron Crazies).

    #1.  WTF

#2. Did anyone not think people from Kentucky were racist? Really Kentucky, has nobody ever visited there but myself?

The counter-argument has been that they didn't "really" pay that much because of tax evasion.

The actual rate was more around 42 percent. There were always ways back then to write off just about anything. Politicians are not really about getting the riches money, they just want uneducated voters to think they are hosing the rich.

No doubt that Starlink (SpaceX's satellite internet system) and Starship (Super heavy lift Mars rocket) are risky bets - there is a good chance that neither is successful.  But at the same time, if they are successful, SpaceX will be worth hundreds of billions of dollars, and not (just) $30 billion.  I'd actually like to see Musk sell his stake in Tesla and concentrate on SpaceX alone.  Tesla, and the electric vehicle industry in general, is at the tipping point where EVs will become common and the market will sustain itself.  Affordable space access still needs quite a bit of hand holding.

I would like to see Tesla bought by a major car company that knows how to pump cars out so the prices of these things can come down. Fuck I feel like I am going to be 80 before these things become standard.

I wouldn't be surprised if trump fires munchkin tomorrow.  Of course, that will make the markets react even worse.  How much did the market drop in the first month of the great depression?

It took about half the month for the crash to begin culminating at the end of the month in the biggest drop.  The depression was already starting, the stock market was slower than the business cycle that was already on its way down.
