  1. Oh my FU&%$NG God this paired with my new Samsung Q8fn is mind blowing. I know I made the right decision. It scored in Future Mark top 96%! on Time Spy regular not the 4k one, those scores are insane . . . I'm running Forza Horizon 4 and its mind blowing in 4k hdr ultra settings never dips under 60fps. I am super happy. I know we lost alot in the fire and recently my son, But at least our new house is beginning to feel a bit like home! This Q8fn is a great Qled TV. I spent a numbing amount of time researching Oleds and Qleds and every model in between. Finally biting the bullet and making a decision makes this all the more rewarding!
  2. Click New Gaming Rig Here Ok you guys are right so sorry. The 6x2 pins will go in the 8 pin slot on my GPU. I dont know how I got fucked up. Only real issue was the PCIe cables all have 8pin PSU side and split at the end in to 2 PCIe 6x2 cables. Now I know the graphics card needs 2 seperate 8pin plugs coming from the psu. So had to use 2 of the cables but at the card both cables had a 6x2 cable hanging. Tough to make that look good! So I snipped off the hanging 2 6x2 cables, making it very tidy!! Below is the final build. No issues other than cable management. It's super clean, super quiet. Perfect build. Thanks for the help and decisions, etc. Nzxt 700 case I7 9700k CPU Asus Z390-a motherboard 4x8 sticks (32 gigs) ddr4 3200 Corsair vengeance ram Zotec 2080Ti extreme amp edition GPU Corsair h100i rgb cooler Corsair 750watt platinum psu M.2 Samsung Evo 970 500mb ssd for boot HD Samsung 1tb 860 evo HD Gigabit wifi PCIe card Windows 10 home Total 2547.87 before windows 10, a logitech m510 mouse and keyboard combo Around 2700.00 but I had nothing I could use from previous builds, so price went up a bit. 4. There different on each end, I tried several cables. I carefully looked at them side by side. This is just frustrating!
  5. there labeled PCIe and are 8 pin gpu into plit 6x2 pin ends for the GPU. Problem is If you put the 6x2 together to make a 8pin plug it doesn't fit the 8pin on my card. seem there different. 8pin psu and 8 pin gpu are different. I know it sounds stupid. I just need 2 cables both with just 8pin GPU and 8 pin PSU ends on them, trust me there not the same and only go one way. Why holding a 6x2 pin plug to gether to make it a 8 pin plug wont go into my 8 pin gpu plug is beyond me and struggling to describe the damn situating!
  6. I've been looking all morning again and still cant find 2 cables that plug into my 8pin plus from the GPU to my pay's 8pin pcie plugs. Am I frikking crazy? There were 8 pin plugs but there for CPU to psu and do not plug into the GPU's 8pin plugs. This is insanely odd.
  7. Guys I need help with GPU cables. This may seem stupid, but its bothering me bad. I have 2x4 (8) pin x 2 cables on my GPU (zotec 2080ti extreme amp edition) connectors on my GPU. My power supply PciE cables have 4×2 8 pin cables going to two 6x2 cables. Card came with 1 8pin to 2 6x2 adapters. This leaves the x2 cable part just hang there. Can you please link me to strait 8pin CPU x 8pin GPU cables? I need 2 obviously. Seem strange if you try and plug them in back ward meaning the psus side of my 8pin cables dont connect in the 8pin plug on my GPU. It only goes in the psu side. And even though the 6pin x 2pin side even if put together to make a 8pin plug, it wont plug into the psu side 8pin plug? Cant I just have 8pin going to 8pin plugs for my gpu? Please help me, the wires going to the GPU are killing my vibe. Why dosent the 6x2 plug put together not fit in the psu side
  8. OH AND THEY MUST BE WHITE! SEEMS weird they aren't 8 going to 8 cables. i must be missing something

  10. isn't buying a 750Watt PSU essentially "a little more than I need" ? I gave myself some room to add hd's, etc in the future . . . good advise though, and I thank you!
  11. will buy top end cables. This really sucks. Losing a Home and everything that goes with it, cables are proving difficult. I had one hell of a collection of cables, good ones for ebery occasion. Having to buy them for each and everything I do suck and is a constant reminder . . .
  12. Yes using it as a PC monitor to play games and surf the web. That and xbox one x and ps4 pro. I finally decided to go with Samsung 65" Q8fn the reviews are great but it dosent break the bank. I'll be throwing everything I can at it the first few weeks to see if it's got what it takes. I know itll not be ideal for the gaming rig I'm building no ow but can do 4k 60hrz and has free sync. I'm hearing geforce is allowing freesync with its cards now so I'll see. Has to be a huge step up from the nu8000 I'm using now
  13. Quick question about the Corsair 750Watt Platinum PSU Do you think thats enough to play around with overclocking somewhat no extremes here but some on CPU and GPU? The recommended for the build was 550watts so I went with a 750 over an 850watter? THOUGHTS?
  14. yea I see that the 9900 is 500 not 600, but I had to say whoa somewhere . . . lol I was going to get the 8700k so I bumped that to a 9700k, small failure I guess. I think having this end up right at 2500 was pretty sweet and I thank you all for helping me see that it was possible. Didn't want to go to the 3k range while still hunting for a good gaming 65" tv to pair it with. That is becoming quite a challenge.
  15. I just didnt think that gaming would ever rely on a 9900k. I did last minute bump up to a 9700 from the 8700k.....lol. that was 20 dollars more. The 9900k was like 600.00 bucks! 9600 was 404.00
  16. Already bought everything I posted. What do you think of it? Should fucking rock unless I'm missing something. I upgraded to a 1tb ssd's for gaming and the 500 gig m2 drive for the operating system. The full 32 gigs 3200 ddr4 and the i7 9700k. I know I probable spent to much but I font upgrade often. This should me a great gamer for the next 4/5 years right? Thanks for the 120off code on the rtx card. Too. I spent an extra 37.87 buying all the parts from Amazon. Some were on the outletpc.com site, corsair site and from the zotec direct site, but used the Amazon card there too for the 5% cash back. L
  17. Sucks man, my wife and I both just lost our jobs, along with our home and everything we owned in the california camp fire. Then we lost our Son to cancer 5 months later. Trust me it could be worse, hang in there be as positive as you can, try and be greatful what you do have. I'm pulling for you . . .
  18. So question? I need a windows 10 64 bit key for this build right? I'm right on track to play Doom Eternal day one on an amazing PC! Seems like I build a PC right around Doom launches, just coincidence but it's cool. I love the Doom games .
  19. BAMM !!! click here ------> Graphics Card OMFG!! I was building and rebuilding {on pcpartspicker.com} and then doing it again tonight. Then I clicked your link one more time @Spork3245 and put the Zotac card in the cart, put in the "Spring120" code and with my no tax free shipping options {I'm in Oregon} I just had to do it. So my build complete in my head was about 2500.00 and with this baby taking up 1079.99 I was able to build the PC of my dreams taking in some of the advise given here on the boards and I'm shaking i'm so excited. I went over 89 some odd dollars and still need the windows10 key. I'll post complete build costs and I thank you all. This will last be 5 years at least guys thanks so much . . . Graphics card and the Highend PC Build was a tiny bit worried about the Graphics card warrenty but I checked and it's 3 years, so that's AWESOM I'll be buying the rest in the morning, it's almost 1am here and I have to tell the wife what I've done "FOR US"...lol Zotac 2080Ti Extreme Amp edition 1079.99 shipped using the spring120 off code from Spork !! Rest of this AMAZING build !!1509.44 shipped Total: 2589.43 !! Thank guys, I'm smiling from ear to ear . . . . . .
  20. That' the problem I can't access the key I look everywhere online, I don't have the old PC or the old box the drive came in we lost every single this we owned Nov 8th 2018 in the camp fire. seems like I'll have to remove the old PC and then contact Customer support to get the key, they don't have it listed under manage devices through Microsoft.com. So can I install windows 10 make it a boot drive from their site then when it comes to the activation screen contact them and have them remove the old PC thus them giving me my old key to put in the box?
  21. Ok I feel stupid, I logged into Microsoft.Com and under my account were 5 xbox's 2 laptops, and 2 desktop pc! I found my gaming windows 10 PC and where I can remove PC, but cant see where to access the windows 10 key? It was a retail bought at best buy windows 10 flash drive, so I guess if I can get the key I'd just download windows 10 kn a store bought flash drive as a boot drive and then use the old key to make it all legal like?
  22. Dont know how I'd ever get to the old PC account link, it was about but that is interesting. Last PC I built but down in th he fire, it was windows 10. Can I somehow find that CD key and reuse it? And if so how do I do that? Last PC was about 4 years old? It's gone, never thought about that.....
  23. I have never used AMD processors and I have always had Geforce cards. I'm going to use the advise on the M2 drive and also getting a 1tb ssd's for gaking and everything else. Maybe another 500 gig for my pictures and music etc. I have a hard time not choosing Samsung, Intel, corsair, Nzxt, etc for parts as there what I know and have never had an issue. I'm weird in that regards. I know many will look at what I have and see lots of money to be saved. I'm loyal to brands that have served me well in th he past. This will be my 6th personal built PC and I want it to be the bad ass PC I always dreamed of but with in reason of course. My son and I were supposed to be building my next gaming PC together, hurts to know we will never do anything together again ever! Just virtually putting it together has been somewhat therapeutic, weird I know
  24. Your all to kind. I'm kinda jumping the gun here. I get excited when I can concentrate on things like a new PC gaming rig or a new TV, then the costs are there looking me in the face and its unnerving to say the least. I'm going to to this but I'm now feeling guilty as this is a "me thing". I started to rapidly put together a new PC because the old laptop that had all our legal shit on it (from our the loss of our home in the camp fire) along with pictures and just so much personal shit just died 5 days ago! I was like COME ON, I NEED A FUCKING BREAK! I was able to do a backup transfer but I'm done with that 5 Year old specter laptop. I do have my msi gaming laptop but I'm need another desktop. You all I knew were the place to go to start putting on together! You knowledge here is wonderful. The feel of comrodery is what I love the most. Do glad I have this outlet to get away from all that has happened. I thank you all and I mean it, thanks so much
