I use my leaf blower all the time. Grass clippings. Garage debris. Leaves. I’ll uncaringly annoy everybody for a few minutes if it will spare me 90 min of labor. Shrug.gif

I mean I’d be hesitant to say it’s over for Haley or DeSantis after just Iowa. Hard to know how all the court cases against Trump are going to shake out. If he ends up with any consequences (lol) and can’t run you want to be one of those two. And they’re basically tied right now. It’s not like DeSantis is beating her by an amount that makes a statement (yet).

i land at 3pm on the 26th. Im sure I can delay the drive to beaver a bit btw if you wanna grab food/a drink.
Weather permitting of course.
I have a family thing that day ☹️ How long are you staying in Utah? Just the weekend? -
Yeah. Christie was the only one offering some potential maybe if you squint semblance of a meaningful alternate to Trump. Everyone else is just trying to show how cool they are if you already like Trump. The party voters have a clear preference. Haley and DeSantis are secretly hoping he goes to jail while simultaneously auditioning for VP while that one other ratfucker VC douche is all but screaming “pick me for VP” and that’s just the reality. Trump still dominates the party and his cult will see the at he dies until he keels over dead.
Then when he’s dead there will be a conspiracy about how he’s secretly alive and really controlling everything in the party. His specter will dominate the party even after he’s dead.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is SEO?
Search Engine Optimization. How you structure your webpage and the words you decide to use help it appear higher in searches.

Amazon has been a shit show for ages in terms of terrible product pages and results full of knock-offs. Doesn't surprise me that they're taking the laziest possible approach in regards to titles either.

Statement from President Joe Biden on Coalition Strikes in Houthi-Controlled Areas in Yemen | The White House
WWW.WHITEHOUSE.GOV
Today, at my direction, U.S. military forces—together with the United Kingdom and with support from Australia, Bahrain, Canada, and the Netherlands—successfully conducted strikes against a number of targets in Yemen used by Houthi rebels to endanger freedom of navigation...We really said late deliveries are one of the reasons we're doing this.
Probably one of the most common reasons in history to go to war though -
Sick of Star Trek writers’ obsession with going back in time.

Though I just listened to the hot mic, and he apparently thinks Haley's going to get smoked and "isn't up to this" so maybe not.
I would agree with that assessment. She completely fumbles softballs like “what was the cause of the civil war?” She’s not going to weather a barrage of Trump’s awfulness and his cult. -
Adding commercials and laying off people? Really cool.

When we say things like "best" and "prefer", those words are doing a lot of heavy lifting. This is more like pick your poison to avoid Trump as the candidate, the worst poison.
Yeah I mean I think that was implied :P

It's kind of crazy how Nikki Haley is both terrible and also the best of the current lot by far. (I like Christie's hard line anti-trump stance, but I think he's a weasel and I do not trust him)
Yeah this is kind of where I stand. It's weird to see how principled the Bridge-gate guy is on the Trump issue. But Bridgegate itself makes me kind of prefer Haley.

Would it count for 2023? Because that would uhhh really help me out. Haha.
I know it wouldn't.

So when it comes to sailing the high seas, it’s just a matter of connecting to the right people? I guess that’s easier than dealing with questionable torrent sites and all the other garbage I dealt with back in the day.
Yeah if you have the right friend you can access a plethora of content. I just run my own server and rip from my blu rays/dvds and share with my family. I built a little server out of a donated old PC that just sits always on in my office. Can stream my shit anywhere. It's nice.
Not sure if they offer the lifetime pass anymore, but I bought it way back in the day. -

I saw Mario and that new Ninja Turtles movie with my kids. I liked both of them.
The movies, too.

No, America isn’t full blown fascist. But it, and especially the Republican Party, checks a lot of the boxes on Umberto Eco’s “You might be a fascist if…” list.

Ah I gotcha.
I think there are orthodox or other eastern divisions of Christianity that similarly reject the trinity.
Yeah. Not very commonplace where most Mormons live though. -

Which has to be some justification for why some don't view them as Christian.
What's the tl;dr on the definition Mormons use?
Just belief in and worship of Jesus. Whereas I feel most other Christians make that half of the definition with the other half being Jesus being part of the traditional trinity which Mormons reject.
-
Also, what most Mormons do not understand is that their definition of Christian isn’t the definition that most Christians go by. It’s a totally foreign concept to them.

I grew up in a small town near Twin Falls, Idaho, about 4 hours from Salt Lake City. Though the town had fewer than 2,000 people, it had seven or eight different denominations' churches (Baptist, Methodist, Assembly of God, etc.) and the Mormon church was by far the biggest/most popular. A good third of my classmates were Mormons, and in fact my best friend from elementary school through high school is Mormon (he had 11 siblings and now has four kids of his own; I have a dog ).
Oh okay. Twin Falls is getting away from that section I hate more than anything (Rexburg, IF, Blackfoot, Pocatello). Sounds like your friend’s wife is doing things the women in China won’t.
ETA: oh yeah this isn’t the thread about declining birth rates in China whoops.

Interesting. Reading more about it, it sounds like Mormons consider themselves Christians but many Catholics and (eastern) orthodox religions, as well as many Protestants, don't consider them Christian. I grew up in Mormon country and always took them at face value when they claimed they were Christian, but didn't really ever deep dive into their theology, because what I did hear of it already sounded crazy enough. TIL!
I always forget that you grew up in pretty much my least favorite place on the planet. What town specifically were you in? Mormons genuinely consider themselves Christian, so there was no lie of commission there at any rate.- 1
Anyone else excited that leaf blower bans are becoming more common place?

I honestly can't remember the last time I heard a leaf blower and got annoyed by it.
