  1. Yeah. Christie was the only one offering some potential maybe if you squint semblance of a meaningful alternate to Trump. Everyone else is just trying to show how cool they are if you already like Trump. The party voters have a clear preference. Haley and DeSantis are secretly hoping he goes to jail while simultaneously auditioning for VP while that one other ratfucker VC douche is all but screaming “pick me for VP” and that’s just the reality. Trump still dominates the party and his cult will see the at he dies until he keels over dead.

Then when he’s dead there will be a conspiracy about how he’s secretly alive and really controlling everything in the party. His specter will dominate the party even after he’s dead.

We really said late deliveries are one of the reasons we're doing this.

Probably one of the most common reasons in history to go to war though

It's kind of crazy how Nikki Haley is both terrible and also the best of the current lot by far. (I like Christie's hard line anti-trump stance, but I think he's a weasel and I do not trust him)

Yeah this is kind of where I stand. It's weird to see how principled the Bridge-gate guy is on the Trump issue. But Bridgegate itself makes me kind of prefer Haley.

So when it comes to sailing the high seas, it’s just a matter of connecting to the right people? I guess that’s easier than dealing with questionable torrent sites and all the other garbage I dealt with back in the day.

Yeah if you have the right friend you can access a plethora of content. I just run my own server and rip from my blu rays/dvds and share with my family. I built a little server out of a donated old PC that just sits always on in my office. Can stream my shit anywhere. It's nice.

Not sure if they offer the lifetime pass anymore, but I bought it way back in the day.

I grew up in a small town near Twin Falls, Idaho, about 4 hours from Salt Lake City. Though the town had fewer than 2,000 people, it had seven or eight different denominations' churches (Baptist, Methodist, Assembly of God, etc.)  and the Mormon church was by far the biggest/most popular. A good third of my classmates were Mormons, and in fact my best friend from elementary school through high school is Mormon (he had 11 siblings and now has four kids of his own; I have a dog :daydream:).

Oh okay. Twin Falls is getting away from that section I hate more than anything (Rexburg, IF, Blackfoot, Pocatello). Sounds like your friend’s wife is doing things the women in China won’t.

ETA: oh yeah this isn’t the thread about declining birth rates in China whoops.

Interesting. Reading more about it, it sounds like Mormons consider themselves Christians but many Catholics and (eastern) orthodox religions, as well as many Protestants, don't consider them Christian. I grew up in Mormon country and always took them at face value when they claimed they were Christian, but didn't really ever deep dive into their theology, because what I did hear of it already sounded crazy enough. TIL!

I always forget that you grew up in pretty much my least favorite place on the planet. What town specifically were you in? Mormons genuinely consider themselves Christian, so there was no lie of commission there at any rate.
