I had to do a Stelara injection on Wednesday and yesterday I felt like shit, including a brain fog that kind of feels like what you expect when you get a fever...except no fever. Doctor agrees it's probably just expected side effects from the Stelara but definitely not a fun time to have these side effects.

My girlfriend will get nothing because she didn't file in 2018 due to living out of the country at the time.

My building recently got new washers and dryers with a phone app you can use to pay, but I can't get rid of quarters completely because it says it has an option to feed 25¢ at a time but it consistently says it can't do it because the machine is in use. 🤦‍♂️

I have a Canadian friend who's in Florida with his wife right now and I just messaged him that he should really look at moving up his flight back as soon as humanly possible before he gets stranded. Although I guess they could fly to Seattle and then one-way a car rental to Vancouver. They set off on the already-booked cruise I think a couple of weeks ago and it was already kind of a dubious decision at that point but I guess it wasn't blatantly bonkers the way it is right now.

When I did FiOS in DC there was initially a triple play bundle where taking TV and phone on top of internet was cheaper than just internet for the first year. I took the TV setup but told the installer to just do the bare minimum on setting up the phone and that I was literally never going to use the phone line. Since I had it I tried watching Mad Men live for a couple of weeks and the experience with ads was so fucking atrocious that I promptly went back to torrenting it.

Like I said earlier, I grabbed a monitor and keyboard on my way out of the office on Friday without asking first because fuck trying to get that approved even in normal circumstances. I sincerely doubt anyone will actually notice, and absolute worst case scenario I'm just gonna tell them "we were actively encouraged to work from home and I did what I needed to do to make that work out".

Awesome time to be trying to save money. Did have a super practical conversation with my girlfriend though about buying something when we move in together.

I also pointed out that if god forbid they do get it there's something to be said for having it in a country with a real healthcare system.

My girlfriend's parents are here from London right now, and all of their kids live here so it wouldn't be a total disaster if they got stuck here for a while, but I was trying to impress on her dad yesterday that if being away for more than two weeks is going to be a problem then he needs to change their flight from Wednesday to fucking ASAP.
