In the preview I just posted, I briefly wondered if that blue ball the starbase was orbiting was Earth, but kind of brushed it off without studying the topography too closely because.....well....we have never seen one of those big boy space stations orbiting Earth before, have we? They have the Utopia Planitia shipyards at Mars, but the most we have seen around earth is some space frames for starship repair as far as I remember.

When the heck did they build that thing? Did we get a good enough look at Earth in Picard s1 to see if it was there or not? And if not, when was the last time we did? Endgame or Nemesis, probably......

    Your memory sucks :p

Spacedock One was a Federation Spacedock-type space station operated by Starfleet from the late 23rd to the early 25th centuries. The prototypical example of a "spacedock", it was located in orbit of Earth for most of its service. Spacedock One was under construction in 2257. (DIS: "Will You...

In Alwa's Awakening you play as Zoe, a heroine sent from another world to bring peace

Nice little NES-like Metroidvania. If somebody reads this after the giveaway expires but before April 30 and is interested in the game, I should be able to give a code since I already owned it and when I clicked on the giveaway I got an email with a gift code with an expiry date of April 30. The sequel (SNES-like) is even better but isn't free.

I was about to post that some game is free on Steam but I don't remember which since I added it earlier and Steam doesn't send an email when you add free games to your account but I managed to remember on the second pass through my Steam Library.

  4. Finished Arietta of Spirits. A bit short but mostly fun. It sucks that the end game escape was a bit of a pain and I spent a fair bit of time trying to find the last spirit cub with out success as a it makes for a rather negative end to what was mostly a positive experience.

  5. Finished Axiom Verge 2 except for a few items I'm missing. Early on it was really annoying and I often had a hard time finding out where to go next (the marker on the map isn't much help if you can't find out how to get to it) but once I got the hang of it I enjoyed it.

  6. Played Axiom Verge 2 until the power went out. Played a bit of Final Fantasy Dimensions until the power came back. After supper I started Axiom Verge 2 and got to where I think I was and started thinking that given the series' connected dimensions and all that it would make sense if the power went out again while at the same spot. That's exactly what happened. Just came back on so hopefully it stays on at least long enough to get out of that area and save.

I don't follow them or know anything about the group, but their videos always pop up on my Facebook feed. They do skits about open world RPGs, which are pretty damn funny. They also do some videos where they work at a computer store, dealing with silly retail/customer shenanigans.

Anyone else familiar with this group?

I used to see the videos on Facebook.

  8. Finished Kena: Bridge of Spirits. I really liked it except for the combat (especially trials and bosses). I started off on standard difficulty but got fed up with things like getting hit from off screen because the camera is too close to Kena. Dropped down to Story Mode difficulty and enjoyed it enough to play it again via new game plus.
