For some reason I can’t do the damn final chocobo race to get Tidus’ weapon so I just gave up.

On PS2 I got the lowest time you could without winning the sigil before giving up. This time I found a strategy guide, mostly involved staying on the right. You need either 12 balloons with 0 birds or 14 with 1 bird and I think I hit 15 balloons and 1 bird. I was a bit worried when I saw the time as 0 as I thought it had to be negative but I won.

Dodging lightning 200 times was a pain until I found a video showing a spot where it is easy and dodged around 240 times.

Blitzball seems so hard in the first game but once you know what you're doing and get some good players it's easy.

    Rendezvous with Rama, Clarke.

After finishing contact I asked some of my buddies for another Sci-Fi recommend and they said I need to get some Clarke in my life. I’m about halfway in and it’s starting to get pretty interesting.

I liked the first and third books but skipped a huge chunk from the beginning of the second.

  3. Since my Xbox 360 receiver died I've been using a DS4 wired (you can use Bluetooth but when I first tried it the connection wasn't great probably because I was using onboard Bluetooth). With InputMapper it's seen as an Xbox 360 controller so the compatibility is great. The trackpad works too which is great for when you switch from monitor to TV so you can start your game and move the cursor off the screen from the couch. You just need to mentally remap onscreen button prompts from Xbox to DS4.

  4. For reference the Sony UBP-X800 is $300 Canadian, there are some for $200 but it looks like a lot of cheaper ones are just 4K upscaling. The 500GB S is out of stock but it's $230 Canadian whereas the 1TB is in stock but is $330 (includes a bundled game). I'm not really in a hurry so I could wait for Black Friday and Boxing Day and if I wait long enough till getting a new CPU I'll probably just get a 4K drive and a newer version of PowerDVD. For the Xbox, I would use the controller on PC (adapter is another $30 Canadian). Had Sony put a 4K drive in the Pro I'd have an easier time just getting a PS4 (already have 1 DS4 which I use wired on PC). I have Rare Replay which I played on my father's OG Xbox One and I'd probably give Lost Odyssey a try. If I did decide to get Kingdom Hearts 3 I could get it on Xbox since it is unlikely to come to PC (though possible given that DQ XI is). At this point I'm just considering options.

  5. I'm considering one but the games don't really interest me (any that do, I have or will get on PC). Is there any difference between the S and X for 4K Blu-ray playback? Are there any good upcoming games that will benefit from the X that won't be on PC and are not FPS or Sports (including Racing) games? Are there any difference between the included controllers (i.e. no Bluetooth with S but yes with X)? Since my Xbox 360 PC wireless receiver died I've been using a DS4 wired and while the trackpad is great for launching games after switching from monitor (where the keyboard and mouse are) to TV it would be nice to have something with face buttons that matched the onscreen prompts. Is there an official media remote or just 3rd Party?

  6. Mine looks like the one I'm using now so I might not need it. Nokra had done something to the one I originally used to clean it up or something and I seem to have the original on my PC (dated to 2010) but not the fixed version. I redownloaded the image so it's possible what I have now might be higher quality but it might be nice to compare.
