Wow Arcade Archives on the switch added Shaolins Road!

Thats crazy, when I was younger the very first video games I ever saw was when I discovered a local arcade the main games there were Rush N Attack, Galaga 3, Rally X, and Shaolins Road… 

 this is cool.. now I gotta scrounge up some cash to get it..

Now if someone would shit out a port of Rastan, my young kid gamer soul would be happy

it will be interesting to see what “newer” gamers prefer between this and the 1000 year door..

the fawful fans will probably just grind their teeth for a bit

Just cant buy into this.. a game focused on traversal and gunplay so they pick villains who have no  “natural” traversal abilities or unique powers.. oh well at least Harley is there, but nope its still Tara doing her crap Harley voice.. not willing to endure that for a whole game..

how is it that Gotham Knights appears more appealing?

the tech running the game must be amazing but the gameplay loop just doesnt do it.. heres hoping something “special” is being held still

I think the last ones I bought were “special issues” for game releases that had exclusive art and or posters.. that was a while back.. I had game informer back in the fay because there were always ultra cheap deals (cause subscriber numbers were more important than subscriptions cause advertising)..

The thing that always annoyed me was going to barnes and noble and seeing the overseas mags being significantly better than local mags..

All the same I still keep and old stack, its good to see the old EGM “top 100 games of all times” list and see how thats evolved..

Normally I’d say that this is just another GOP dog whistle hes blowing because their audience really respond to what they deem “strong decisive” action… but I think there would be enough support for this that he could potentially do it without consequence..

it would be a continuation of the family separations that were so popular with his base that the lack of organization and disappearance of children is completely ignored..

I do not, i get enough here… plus the bad news is what sells and at times some of it feels “overwhelming”… the bigger thing is that “everything” is seemingly a subscription or patreon thing.. picking and choosing is in itself exhausting

love that at least this is free and certain reddit forums arent full on toxic

I love how the Japanese Godzilla productions always adapt some of the visual ideas used by the American Godzilla productions (some of the latest ones being godzilla swimming under a ship and the tail lighting up for his beam attack).. I like that they are open to implementing some of those visuals instead of flat out ignoring them as it means everyone adds to the longevity of the character

Honestly if he had enough clarity to make the decision to not harm other perhaps in a better world he could have gotten/found some help

thankfully my youtube shorts are mostly B99 and spoilers for RDR2..

  I didnt last a month with a tik tok account it was very aggressive in putting up “triggering” stuff… you get pulled into a trap just to engage with some over the top ridiculous responses and the algorithm takes that as fuel for more crap.

   Facebook shorts/ads have gotten somewhat more aggressive on my feed with stupid “israel needs your help” crap recently too..  tons of sports “pundits” bullshit too

Honestly at this point its not the sidequests that are important as much as the baked in mechanics for the NPCs, AI etc during some of these games… in GTA this manifests itself with random crimes or arguments you can get into at random moments.. the mechanics and emergent gameplay from those situations make full use of the beautiful maps in these games.. a simple mugger you chase can shoot at you, fight you, or even steal a car to try and get away.. the random factors make the game better

Ghost Recon Wildlands biggest flaw is that it has one of the very best maps of its generation, but most gunfights are relegated to towns or enemy bases… If the game populated random patrols in the environment the replay value would be endless specially if it had a well developed QRF system..

again, sidequests in and of themselves are fine but its the mechanics and ability to generate emergent gameplay that truly sets some open world games apart..

for example.. I loved Red Dead Redemption the missions are great… but what I will remember most is going into Tall Trees and the sheer terror of Bear attacks, vicious and merciless

Finally found the patience to play Red Dead 2 at its pace… Enjoying it better thus far, shame social media “shorts” pretty much spoiled the major story moments so its more like watching a tragedy play out… but a great game all the same

Night Court and his BTAS Two-Face were great.. but “Normie” in Mighty Max was equally awesome..

wow, oddly enough Red Sonja and The Beastmaster are both already out on 4K... good to know

Why do these folks always have such punchable faces? Frank Larose is the clown helping drive this car.. They all have this condescending smug DNA, so easily hateable
