Edit: yeah Vive still uses bases, they didn’t get the memo that nobody cares if they are technically more accurate right now, nobody wants to deal

This headset will sell for a minimum of 500 bucks. Quest 3 and pro will be launching in the coming months. Super pumped as all I play is VR

We got my son one for christmas so this is helpful.
so far we picked up Creed, Beat Saber, Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy and Job Simulator.
hes been mostly playing Creed, in fact so much that he was sore AF last night.
I had no idea we could setup a wireless connection from my PC. My PC os already wired so I need to check that out. would love to try Half-Life. However, Im still on a i7-4770K and a 980ti. Will that be enough juice to run it?
I was running just about everything with a Ryzen 2600 and rx580 at decent quality (step above quest) . Just upgraded to a 3060 and it's unfucking believeble now.

I swear, I have the worst luck with Airlink. Virtual Desktop works great, but Airlink is completely unusable. Is Airlink just weird when it comes to mesh network? I have a WiFi6 Netgear Orbi setup. Even in the same room as my PC that is wired into a mesh node with my headset connecting wirelessly to that noise, Airlink is a stuttery mess. That's opposed to Virtual Desktop which works fine, even in some parts of my basement.
You would have to look at the settings and see where the difference is between the 2 apps. Spacewarping causes alot of issues for me.

Man, I had assumed that functional wireless VR was a generation away, not a reality with the most affordable headset.
I thought the same thing when I got the quest 1. It's been soooooo much fun.

So I got it working wirelessly, which I obviously did not know I could do. So far it has worked incredibly well, and while I haven't gotten to the shooty shooty part of Alyx, the drawing penises on the windows part of this game has been pretty mindblowing. It looks incredible and I've been having a blast just walking around and making friends with every single object I see.
Steam home is a great place to draw 3d penises, and even use them as swords.

Merry Christmas! Sorry I'm late

If your looking to play your PC game wirelessly to the Quest, I recommend purchasing Virtual Desktop as the developer made Airlink possible (ripped code off). I think it provides a better streaming experience overall too. Just purchase the app on Quest and dl the streamer app on PC (free).

My top 3 are Population: One, Ragnarock, and Blade and Sorcery. Golf+ is also a VERY good "sim". It has Mini golf, Top Shot Driving Range, and full 18 course with all clubs.
Also, you dont need a Wifi adapter. The PC NEEDS to be connect WIRED to the router for best performance.

4 player co-op? Pvp? Gonna be honest I haven't gotten to play much, but the small amount I did play felt AMAZING.

PC players should uninstall the high rez texture pack that is automatically installed through Steam. It is apparently causing big FPS drops.
Going to try this.
It helps!

Lol im unable to get 60FPS in this game. I know im on dated hardware (ryzen 2600 rx580) but come on!

What would NFTing in games items do for anything outside that game? Would those NFTs still be worth anything once the newest version of that game came out? Would developers be required to support these NFTs in future titles?

That's where I'm at as well.
I really do get a sense of confidence from 343 Industries that they're where they want to be with the game.

I actually forgot this was open world. I guess that will hopefully justify a 60 dollar campaign as it hopefully shouldn't be one you can complete in less than 5 hours like most FPS campaigns.
343 doesn't deserve the 60.

Gotta see specs, 200 more then the quest 2 without controllers. All the while Facebook will be announcing the quest 2+ with face and eye tracking with upgraded controllers for probably the same price. HTC should of priced low to gain that digital marketshare, then push everyone to high spec'd/priced gear.
What games have you purchased lately?

CyubeVR, This game would be absolutely amazing if it had survival tactics/mode. Easily one of the best worlds to explore and craft in VR.
Pistol Whip, kinda underwhelming but I'll give it another go and see if I can get into the flow.
Synth Riders, This game is my leg workout. So many obstacles to duck under and bounce back up, my legs will hurt for days after this game. I usally try to do an hour of Ragnarock then a half hour to an hour of Synth Riders.
