In any case this is just one among many overblown things about the game that spawned clickbait articles and endless threads saying "wtf this happened" when it would have been great to experience it for myself instead of having to worry about this game ending thing, which from what I understand only gets that way if you are super neglectful.
And even then it isn't game ending. You can revive pretty much any NPC with a normal wakestone (I have over 30) and there is the eternal wakestone which is a mass rez in your current location

There's no way to stop or cure it? You just kill your pawns?
Yeah. Pawns don't die. They get sent back to the primordial void known as "The Rift".
If the first Dragon's Dogma, Pawns were healed of debilitations by entering the rift via a rift stone.

I'd be super into this series if it was a fantasy series with magic.

What do you do to stop dragonsplague? I'm finally starting this tomorrow morning
You throw the Pawns into
the trashdeep water so the Brine gets them. -

I've seen that but my pawn didn't get the plague from it. 🤷♀️
Oh. Any chance your Pawn got Brined at some point afterward?

I'm about to beat the game - kinda. And I am surprised to have never seen the plague. BUT I have seen it almost happen, I just didn't let it. It's pretty cool seeing a pawn get picked up and get mind fucked by a drake. The treasure chest thing is super annoying, and so is the main pawn acting like a support pawn, totally immersion-breaking for me.

Game is made simpler if you stick to physical attacks.
Barbarian/Fighter/Thief - Physical Melee
Fighter - Physical Melee
Thief/Bard (dual crossbows) - Physical ranged damage and support
Divination Wizard - Magical ranged damage and support
That was my ultimate party. 3 out of 4 stick to basic attacks for the most part.

I'm in a college town with a popular football team so we get options. There are actually a lot of pizza options, they are just so pricy.

I ate one on Tuesday but forgot to mention it.

I almost exclusively play new games outside of FFXIV.

Is the twist that he is a serial killer, but they aren't there for him so he spends the whole movie in his head thinking they are out to get him?
-
Ah, I didn't know that. I'd been hoping for a DLC that adds more to the ending but oh well. I don't have much interest DLC that doesn't have an impact on the main story.

I wish I could go back to the days of Stopping power M16 and Stopping power Silenced MP5

I don't know what they are making next but I bet you'll crash land a ship of some kind onto a beach of some kind.

4 things I hope RPGs and open world games learn from Dragon's Dogma 2 | PC Gamer

The quirky sequel isn't perfect, but it deserves to be influential.I find the Character freedom section funny because they took away a lot of character freedom.
Meaningful travel? Yeah, no. The game gives you like 6 or 7 port crystals, and then has side quests that are designed to either waste your time or Ferrystones. Most of the sphinx quest's tasks seem to exist to eat at your fast travel tokens. And then there is the quest, "A Candle in the Storm". And going from Cat Capital to Human Capital is just sitting in ox carts because you don't want to waste ferrystones. It's just fast travel with extra septs.
DD1 has the cool feature of being the size of one zone, so walking anywhere pretty much takes no time at all, especially with how fast you could move in the first game.

One thing I wish they'd lay off of a bit is the anti-fun shit they have with warfarer. It sucks massive dick that switching weapons costs a skill slot and it sucks that you can't use the giga skills from each vocation. It's an anti-fun mechanic designed around a balance that the game already lacks. NG+ doesn't even get harder, and the base game is already on easy mode.
And the decision to completely separate ranged from melee is just bad. It feels like it was done simply to add warfarer into the game. They made the game less convenient for no good reason. They give you fewer options in combat for no good reason.

I don't know if I don't know. I'm not that guy at the fair who guesses B-days and weights.
