Sources - NetEase to Acquire 100% of Quantic Dream - eXputer.com EXPUTER.COM NetEase, the Chinese internet technology company will reportedly acquire 100% of Quantic Dream, with an announcement likely to come this summer. Hopefully, the firing of David Cage is part of the deal. -
For those who are unaware, David Cage and Quantic Dream are suing two French newspapers (Le Monde and Mediapart) over stories about the toxic workplace environment at the studio that they claim are defamatory in nature. Last week, the case was finally heard in a Paris court and let's just say that things don't appear to have gone particularly well for Cage & Co. Here's a translation of the an article in French that described the proceedings: I may not be a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure that asking the judge(s) if it's totally cool to lie because you're not under oath is probably not a particularly wise course of action. Oh, and one more note: Le Monde is essentially the French equivalent of the New York Times or the Washington Post so needless to say, I'm pretty sure that David and whatever law firm is representing him and QD are significantly overmatched.

All of Quantic Dream's more recent games are coming to PC, and will be distributed though the Epic Games Store. Soon, we'll not only be able to press F to pay respects, but also press X to Jason.
