According to Box Office Mojo, Incredibles 2 has soared past its predecessor and then some, as it currently rests at nearly $648 million worldwide. What makes this even more impressive is that unlike The Incredibles, which opened in November of its year and only had The Polar Express as major competition, Incredibles 2 opened smack-dab in the middle of summer blockbuster season, sandwiched between the likes of Ocean's 8 and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Even accounting for inflation, the fact that Incredibles 2 has passed The Incredibles while holding its own against other major movies is... well, incredible. It is worth noting, however, that when it comes to foreign box office receipts, The Incredibles still reigns over Incredibles 2, with $371.5 million vs. $208.2 million.
