  1. Went for a nice jog after work today. 3 miles or so, but included some really good hill sprints along the way.  My trainers are beyond fucked however so will pick up new ones tomorrow so my calf/hamstring doesn’t snap in two.

  2. Until I'm a) married b) moved home c) hopefully qualified and employed as a teacher, I've accepted that any money I save will largely need to be used within a short time.

Once I'm at the next stage of my life however, I will look to contribute roughly 10% into my pension pot and then take on additional summer work that will be split between holidays/credit card payments or into a separate saving account.

  3. It's rare that I'll replay a game more than once, mostly as we live in a gaming climate where every few months a GOTY candidate is released.  With that in mind, I'd rather play something new than re-tread old ground.

That said, if we're talking about playing a game until completion (rather than just fancying popping in a game) I've replayed Bioshock, Gears of War 1/2/3 and Resident Evil 2 multiple times.  But they also list as some of my favourite games ever as well.

  4. So after watching the Direct, you can't say Nintendo aren't doing their utmost to include everything in the game.  Based of what we've been shown, the only thing I would ask they include would be a 'physics' mode where you can alter the physics to replicate 64, Melee or Brawl in a custom match.

Like everyone else, I do wonder what the bottom left menu (in green) actually is.  I'm guessing some riff of the adventure modes from Melee and Brawl.

  5. I think I'm going to only finish the Wild Hunt storyline for the Witcher 3 and then leave the remainder until Winter (namely the October half-term holidays).  Suffice to say, I'm really enjoying the Witcher 3 an it does enough that's wonderful to take me away from the aspects of large, open worlds that I hate.  I'll make a thread about this particular point of contention later.

  6. Not so much today, but over the weekend I started my Teaching English as a Foreign Language course.  20 hours of the basics behind grammar, lesson plans, how to deliver a lesson and classroom management.  Now just 12 modules to complete in the next 5 months and I'll be qualified (with the intention of a) making my teaching application stronger b) give me the chance of helping refugee's/migrants within the UK with their English)

  7. The Witcher 3. I'm now starting to to open up a bit in the game, I did have a period of having no idea what to do next, but luck came to my rescue and pushed the story along. I'm a big fan of it so far (as discussed with Legend) and this will definitely carry me through to Autumn.

Completed the 50 Burpees a day for a month  challenge. First week was awful. Second was better. Third was good. Fourth was boring.  It is a good summer workout since you don’t need weights to do.

In a perfect position now to do sone Joe Wick workouts. 90% burpee related

Word was much of the code for SH 2 and 3 was lost. Maybe more was lost for the first game.

They have the code for the first one, but it would take a total ground up remake to make it bearable (something that Konami should really do whilst the general populace cares about horror games).

The final build code was indeed lost and so that was the reasoning behind the poor update for 2 (3 from what I remember reading, was OK).  It's trash though that modders can take the PC build and make it look good, but a company of paid professionals can't.  Then again, Konami as a company are pricks and I'd love for them to die a death.

  10. Hell or High Water - 8/10.  I really enjoyed it and have had in on my Amazon Prime list for quite some time.  I felt no remorse for either brother and as a rarity, would have enjoyed an extra 10-15 minutes of build up about their family life (both previous and current).

Either way, well worth my time.  I was going to watch either; Jackie, The Prestige or Blade Runner 2049, but have opted for some PS4 instead.

  11. So I'm definitely into the Witcher 3.  I'm a fan of fantasy and I love it with the gritty overtones that it's showing.  My only hope is that there isn't too much needless patter within the game as I plan on mostly just burning through the main story and more chunky side quests.
