Pikmin 4 when I get a moment and it’s just a lovely game.

Unless the UK makes this a massive pain and I’ve not miscounted…

To carry on with my ‘children’s book but not’ theme, I’ve started reading Skellig.

I really want to mix up my evenings a bit more from the usual of after putting my daughter to bed either reading, working, watching TV, or playing a game. I love the idea of board games but time and cost inhibit that quite a lot. Looking online tonight for card games though I’ve stumbled across thing like scuttle, James Bond, Regicide, and Scopa which sound easy-ish, but great fun.
Anyone have any stone cold classics they like to play with another person?

I’m about 22 hours into Death Stranding. I was both thrilled and intimidated when I looked up the average completion time and saw that I was only about halfway through. I may have to take a break and find something quick to play through.
It’s a cliche at this point to say it, but Death Stranding is the perfect podcast game. 90% of the time, a pleasant amount of fuck all happens, then you need to engage for only a small portion. -
Tomorrow etc was a nice enough book, I’m glad it didn’t end on a cliche - though a lot of the gaming references felt a bit forced. Now back to a Dawkins book and also a story called My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece- which is listed as a children’s book, but definitely is not a children’s book.

Fair few people here need to ask their under 6’s to watch Hey Duggee.

If the brief was to make a shit animal crossing knock off from 2002, they nailed it.

There’s a chance we may be moving in the next 6 months and with any excess cash, one thing I want is a pizza oven and nah e a decent ish BBQ.

Pikmin 4 and then, because it was staring at me from my Switch, Majora’s Mask.
I need to do some painting and DIY later on, so I may dip in a bit more if I’m not shattered from it.

Just wanted to do a weekend getaway and I haven’t been here since 2000. Visiting family tomorrow who I haven’t seen in years and years and hopefully going to a Braves game Sunday if the rain clears out that evening.
Ready for my big trip to the UK in September, but this will tide me over until then.
Also, 7am flights are a bitch.
I'm sure you’ve said this - but where in the UK are you going to visit? -
Showing her this trailer was probably the most I’ve ever satisfied my wife.
She's a massive fan of the first game.

I think this may end up being my summer PS5 game. At last…
-
It’s such a busy medium and games take such a big investment that I literally can’t keep up with new releases. I think the last time I managed was the GC/PS2/Xbox era when I both worked and had money, but also vaguely had infinite free time.

I need to dig into the Wolfenstein games

Just looked at how much value my house has potentially accrued and, if we get some work finished off, and the market holds, the Zoopla estimate puts it at about £25,000 - £30,000 more, which is ridiculous.

News I was watching this morning said Iran has said this was their retaliation and plan on nothing more.- 1

There’s a lot to unpack in this thread.

I scoped out how much the sellers of my current house bought for, they made a profit of about £400,000 on the sale to me

Dunkin makes good donuts. They were a staple at my office breakfast almost every day and they are bangin.
What kind of country has actual donuts at breakfast time as an ‘every day’ thing -
Mix in some throwing up and general ‘bad guys’ it’s been an interesting one today. I did take my daughter swimming and after three weeks of only eating maybe 10 of those days, I’m looking quite trim which is nice.

Back to square one last two days. Return of the headache, body/joint pain, had (according to my wife) three, hour long naps today and similar yesterday. Have a suspicion it might be tied in with a food intolerance (leading contender is gluten) but at least no strep this time 👍

I feel guilty as I’ve still not bought the remake despite really liking DS1 and 2.
